Migration Log, Summer 2018

Entry one --

While taking care of wounded at the Western perimeter, word was sent back to me that migration would begin immediately.

At that point, I sent Outriders to main camp to get the Standard prepared to move.
Outriders also got the sleen cages put on the flatbed freighters and ready to go.
I sent thralls to get torches pulled and stored.

Izee prepped the med wagons to get rolling.
Mariposa got the rations ready and handed out to every Warrior.
Their assistance was greatly appreciated.

Orman Qasar was very helpful as well, and I will be mentioning him to our Ubar.

The wagons were made ready to roll, and after preparations were made, camp broke and started moving out.

Entry two--

Migration is underway!
Wagons uncoiled as always from the center first.
We eventually got those of us who belong to the main area of camp back into the line where we belong.

The Paravaci are also migrating, and keeping Tuchuk company.

The 1st and Ubar are still ahead of us, "Plowing the way".
Knowing Ubar as I do, it concerns the Kassar, and keeping Tuchuk's path clear.

With so many wounded and dead already, I worry for my son's. I worry for all of our men.

Entry three--

We're moving south. Paravaci are keeping up with us.

We picked up some wounded and dead on our way.
The 1st is leaving their calling card for us to follow.

We stopped as night fell, at the springs to water the teams and let the bosk rest.

It was as calm a day as we've had for a while. Perhaps it'll continue, but we all know better!

Entry Four


Tuchuk and Paravaci moved on this day after taking on fresh water from the spring, resting the teams and allowing them to graze in place.

The springs have been left behind as the columns move through tall grasses continuing South. The column will continue rolling through the night.

The pace is slower, but ground is still being covered. It was hot during the day but when night came it became tolerable, but not by much.

The ground is still soft, but grows firmer with each passing day.

We continue onwards.

Entry Five


Tuchuk continued on with Paravaci on our flank.

The 1st Oralu engaged Kassar forces and secured to crossing to take on the River of Tears.

Rest, eat, tend the stock, and care for the wounded.

We cross the River of Tears!!! Be prepared!!!

Entry Six

Tuchuk has successfully navigated the River of Tears.

There were a few casualties and some damage, including the loss of the main med wagon. It will be replaced in Turia or as soon as possible.

Tuchuk has halted and hot food and rest is called for. Tend to the stock and make necessary repairs. We will move again come the morrow.

Paravaci will make the crossing during the night. We wish them luck.

Both herds are weary, but fine and are grazing the lush tall grasses.

Entry Seven

Tuchuk and Paravaci moved onwards continuing the march Vasik (South).

The 1st set the damaged main camp med wagon afire to keep it from falling into Kassar hands. They remained on the Vasik bank of the River to delay Kassar's potential crossing.

Paravaci has to stop and rest, so Tuchuk and Paravaci have parted company for the time being.

Tuchuk continues on headed for Turia.

Entry Eight

Column moved and halted at the next water source for the night.

Use it to best advantage. We move again come the morrow.

Word has been relayed we are out of fruits and all vegetables except for some katch, carrots, onions, and potatoes.

You all know what to do, do it.

We are three days distance from Turia.

Entry Eight


Column moved out and crossed into territory claimed by Turia.

Column and herd have stopped for the night. Tend the stock and wagons, eat, get some rest. We move again come the morrow.

We are one good day out from Turia barring misfortune.

The last of the carrots, katch, potatoes, and all but a few onions have been used in stew. Tuchuk is mostly down to meat, eggs, and dairy.

Entry Ten

The column moved out as planned and covered the final leg to Turia.

At present, the column is halted in the migration encampment outside the City walls with secondary gate access.

We will stay the night in the wagons, and come morning Tuchuk will enter Turia.

Tuchuk has left Turia and will be moving through the night.

Tuchuk seems well supplied for a time, though a return visit to Turia is likely before season's end.

The column kept going through the day and into the night until reaching the river.

It is not a big river, no more then two or three wagons wide and no more than four feet at its deepest.

We will stay the night. Water the stack, and be ready to move come morning.

We are making good time.

The column is in what Tuchuk claims as its territory.

It will not be long until the column reaches the summering camp.

The column will continue pushing hard through the night to become encamped to strengthen our borders.

It has not been an easy migration, but it was well executed.
