Gor Books
« on: October 22, 2008, 05:27:33 AM »
I browsed E-Bay last night and noticed many sales of Gor Books.

For those in Tuchuk.... there are many copies of Nomads available.

Some are very good deals, but a few entries there are completely outrageous in price.

Use discretion in your shopping.

The life of a slave is a life wholly given over to love. It is not a compromised life. It is not part this, and part that. It is a total way of life, a total life. There are no bargains made with her, no arrangements.

SCREAMS!!!

If you like sci-fi oddball goofiness... then by all means watch the movies. But do not expect to find Gor in the movies. LOL They are not a shortcut to reading and studying. They realy have nothing to do with the world we try to portray in our role play.

I looked them up on IMDB... Cause I was curious -snickers-  Yeah... here's the Plot line for the first movie aptly titled "Gor"

American professor Tarl Cabot is transported via a magical ring to planet Gor, where he must help an oppressed country overthrow its evil king and his barbarian henchmen.

Do we have Kings on Gor?  I thought we had like.. administrators.. and Tatrixes... and Ubars.. I've never heard mention of any kings... except those Priest-King guys.. yeah -scratches head-

The one movie I do believe that Jack Palance wishes he never did... He plays Xenos in the first movie called "Gor" and the second "Outlaw of Gor"~snorts~ Oh, and the plot summary for "Outlaw of Gor" reads as follows:
An Earthman returns to the planet Gor, and fights against tyranny.

I think I saw the best way to watch "Outlaw of Gor" is on MST3K... ~just rolls and goes to see if I can find a you tube link to it~

Found the link... Here ya go... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCkc-U2fH1s
