I been sitting outside watching them myself.
The life of a slave is a life wholly given over to love. It is not a compromised life. It is not part this, and part that. It is a total way of life, a total life. There are no bargains made with her, no arrangements.

at the house we were renting that room at, during the week before we left, I swear, the trees looked like stadium stands with all the lightning bugs flickering, like camera flashes... I wish I had my camera the 35mm Minolta, as I could capture the flashes of light, it was breathtakingly beautiful and for the first time in my life, I got to see what they are, as being from Cali, there aren't many there.. seems the heat is what draws them out in hordes... plus, driving down the back country roads, about an hour before the sun set, they were dancing and flashing on the side of the road, and in the fields of growing corn... that was an awesome sight as well...
