Let us all take time to realize what this day is...it is not just a three day holiday.
The Veterans have given so much for the rest of us, and deserve to be praised, and honored. My son, of the Marine 1/5 will be arriving, soon, and he will be treated to a steak dinner, and will be told, again, that he is the bravest man that I know. (I just wish that he would marry the lovely woman that he lives with, and who my husband and I already see as a daughter...she will also be given a steak dinner, and I will smile and kiss her). My family, on both sides, are military, and this day is important to us. I will be back tomorrow, and I give my thanks to all of you in the home. So many of you know of what I speak, and my wishes and prayers go with you, and yours, my family. I am with 'Blue Star Moms', and we spent the morning placing flags.
