I have a Jack too.  She found me when she was about 3 months old.  She had somehow gotten lost and wandered up on a friend's deck.  Four years later... on a Saturday morning... I have just finished spending an hour watching her "direct" the family... barking at the folks working in the yard (they are making a lot of noise), barking at our other dog, a sweet cocker (he thought he might get a bit of my attention), listening to me (I think) when I told her she didn't get to decide who got my attention, stepping between me and my friend who is helping clean up the yard (I might have needed protection) and now curled up behind me in the computer chair, sleeping.  ~My little Jack is one of my best definitions of Love~  Alexa
