This Week's Gossip
I woke up alone in Diego's bed late Sunday morning. He was already up, working in his office when I wandered in. He gave me a, "Morning sleepy head, Stella will make you some brunch. Rachel already called to wish us a Merry Christmas. I told her we were both up late last night and she said she'd go to mass and skip your normal brunch."

I went downstairs and Stella brought me French toast, orange juice and tea as I sat on the sofa watching the Christmas tree. There were presents scattered all around and we took turns opening them when Diego finally came down.

He got me a pair of my favorite dangling diamond earrings, a nice floor length lavender night gown and several pairs of silk panties. I gave him a new Rolex watch that was totally waterproof. We joked about the fact that he'd never replaced the yacht that somebody blew up a few years ago.

The Monday afternoon arraignment of that Abdul Brahim who attacked Judge Gamble last week was delayed so I'm sure they're working on some sort of a plea bargain. I did hear that FBI director, Lisa Cohen, showed up at the 5th Precinct, so my guess is they want information regarding any Al Qaeda connection.

On Tuesday I rode down to Atlantic City with Diego in his limo where we met with Ed Deline, Angela Black and Danny McCoy. We toured the old Golden Nugget which is up for sale. The previous owner, Rico Bodasto, died of heart failure a couple weeks ago and his wife doesn't want any part of it. It's right next door to Tara's Casino and Hotel, so I've been in there quite a few times. It needs a lot of work.

Since Diego took Ed back to New York City, that left Danny with me. We agreed that we would stay over night so I could give him a tour of the boardwalk and the various casinos. He's a delightful man, take my word for it. He rented one of those new Mustangs and we rode back to New York City together on Wednesday evening. We enjoyed dinner together at the Four Seasons, sharing a bit of our past escapades.

Diego surprised me, inviting me to fly to San Francisco on Friday. We're attending the New York Giants game with the Oakland Raiders, then celebrating New Years Eve together at the famous Fairmont Hotel, a structure that somehow survived the 1906 earthquake that leveled most of the city.

The weather in the San Francisco area was terrible, heavy rain storms that caused flooding and evacuations in a few areas, particularly north of the city. I did speak with Rachel on the phone Saturday morning and she told me they were planning a New Years Eve party at the Four Seasons Club. She'll owe me details when I get back.

Entertainment
This Wednesday night, January 4th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Sex and the City - Coulda Woulda Shoulda. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom, unless Rachel once again needs me in the cast.
