WHEN:

weekend of July 9th, 2010

official gathering dates:
begins friday the 9th and ends sunday the 11th
(Wed 7/7 thru Mon 7/12)


WHERE:

Barnetts Motel
31257 St. Rt. 62
Salem, OH 44460
1-330-337-8758


RATES:

 $45.00 PER NIGHT PER ROOM no matter how many people we pack in one. PLUS TAX

(makes it 48.15 per night)



This is an extremely good rate and this Motel is in a semi private setting 15 minutes from both Salem and Alliance Metropolitan areas.

there are both smoking and non smoking rooms available.

I requested SIX rooms be earmarked for this gathering and these are a first come first serve deal. If we need more rooms, then we are probably able to get them, but since this is now the only hotel/motel in the area, he won't commit the whole establishment to us.

I recommend people rooming together and sharing the cost of the room..

The pool, this year is still up in the air. The health dept wants it brought up to code, with a bottom drain and other things. They gave the motel an extension on their certificate last year because of grandfather clauses.  The owner doesn't know if he will be able to get another extension this year. He will know by the first part of May.  I will check up on this closer to May.

Personally, I say bring your suits.. we can storm the pool.. LOL..


contact the Motel and book your reservations. a credit card security deposit of one night's stay is required to hold the room. any cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid loss of deposit.

WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR RESERVATION, PLEASE:
   If you are sharing a room, only ONE of you call... He gets confused, marks off a room for each person that calls and ends up with empty rooms he could have filled otherwise.

Once you have your reservation, make sure you let me know the dates and number of people and names and even the room number if you requested a specific one, so that I can keep track and reconfirm everything in person with him closer to the gathering.

Also, for newbies, a side note.  we collect 10 dollars a day per person, to buy the foods, propane for grills etc..

Rags and woobie will be in 120.
Raz and lure will be in 117

Well woobie I told ya not to get ahead of yourself.   Grumbles and wants so go postal.   I looked at the calender at work and the one week my boss takes off is the week the gathering is scheduled for. As its my saturday to work the is little to no hope I will be attending.  Have fun without me family.       FUCK!!!!!!

Lilac, if you wouldn't mind two people to be your roommates, we might get together with you... Even if we have to buy an air mattress to sleep on the floor.. ~laughs~ As our wonderful idea fell through, as there is no way we are going to spend over $400 for something guzzles gas money we have to put into the thing, along with renting it... Though Ray is still wanting to find a way to get a caravan or the like from the car rental place, so we have something to sleep in instead, as we are already having to rent a car to get there, the truck may be in better shape and registered... It just isn't ready for long trips over 300 miles and through mountain passes, yet... Soon...

I'm up in the air again this year.... if I was planning on staying at my current job I would have no problem, but seeing as I have been putting apps in all over the place a new job might be on my horizion... its just that I dont want to try to tell a new boss that I need a week off in the beginning of july and then another week off at the end of the month [for comic con -lol-]

I promise though... if I am still working my shitty ass job I will go!

Ok so reservations have been made.  This is Amber by the way, for some reason my account for the forums got banned -scratches head and shrugs-  It's for a smoking room, so if someone wants to room with us that may make a difference.  We're booked for the 6th thru the 12th.  Since we're coming from so far away we're spending an extra night than pretty much everyone. -shrugs-  So we'll be driving in at some point Tuesday night and leaving Monday morning after breakfast.

well family i have good news but its not the best i have spoken with a few people in the company on my dilemna ... i can go to the gathering IF.... i find someone to work for me for the days i want.. so there is hope.. that I can go.. so hope and pray and hopefully ill be there

A couple weeks ago I almost lost my companion of almost 12 years - my dog.  While she pulled through, my budget for vacations is now gone. 

Will miss you all.

Well Family.. count me out... Ive contacted all i could, and after our resident redheaded dumbass got a dui and had to get another job, we have had a fill in.. well the fill in also has the weekend of the gathering off and the next monday and tuesday.. so that kills my plan of hightailing it towards the HQ after i got off work on friday and coming back on monday.. needless to say i am NOT happy of all of this and im about ready to simply go postal on them all.. not a good day at all.. have a good one once more without me...FUCK~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to be unable to attend due to my current work schedule.  I thought I was going to be back to my 4 day work week again, but looks like I'm still on 5 days.  -sighs-  I had hopes for this year, maybe next one.

ok, I am trying to make the reservation, but I just keep getting the answering machine and don't feel real comfy making a reservation by calling a cell phone.  Anyone else have that problem?

My namesake will not be joining me.  Mom agreed to take care of her.  Vet wouldn;t clear her to be out in the heat anyway with the chf.

Filled, hose(s) in it, pump area open and running, table and chairs up, and ladder installed, so it seems it will be operational for us. In addition... they got a new sign, so for those looking for the old motel sign they now have a brand new one. They also have fridges in the rooms, microwaves, and wifi added also. When woobie and I drove through to look the place over it was a bit too chilly to be swimming and threatening thunderstorms for the day.

Will know at the end of this weekend if we will be able to come to the gathering.. Yeah, I know a little too close to the date, but with how things have been going on my end of things, also with the second roommate up and moving in the middle of the night with money owed to us, has put things a little on shaky ground..

Will have the answer tomorrow night or monday night on what the status of us coming out there will be... Though getting a rental is going to be interesting, it shouldn't be that hard, at least that is what we are hoping... Hoping the car has good enough seats so we can sleep in there, as there are no rooms available at the hotel anymore, and not sure if anyone has any room..

I would check Target for the swimming diapers, have been learning things from my niece as she learns about them as she's due at the end of October and Target is the place she's found has a lot of things for babies and toddlers.. And this weekend we are sneaking out to get our swim suits, our landlord is holding a yard sale and is expecting us to help out the entire time, but we will sneak away at some point to finish the shopping we need to do before we leave...

I would check to see if there are any Target on the way to Ohio if you are driving... If not, then I am sure we could find one there if they are still needed... OR, if you would like, I could pick some up here as we have one up in Dover, which isn't too far from us...

Try living in a state that has only 1 Starbucks and that is up in Newark and there is only one theater that shows real movies at the Dover Mall, but I wish the drive-in was still open.. That was a really cool place, reasonable prices and was packed each weekend they were open... Too bad the grand kids didn't want to keep running the place after the grandparents retired, instead they sold the property for over $2.5 million, but the movie screen, the speaker stands, concession stand, and ticket booth is still there... Apparently the new owners are fighting with the neighbors about what the owner wants to build (Condos, which would devalue their own houses)

Anyway, just a thought or two... ~huggles~
