I don't often share my writing (okay I just don't), but it was hinted that I should so...here it is..sorry the post is so long but I wanted to keep the format
Strength Upon My Knees

I go in search of missing things,
In places they can not be found
I feel a void so wide and deep
On which my soul expounds
My heart proclaims there is something lost
My fears are brought to light
The emptiness consumes me whole
And leaves a shadowed life
No one to save my tortured soul
No gift to leave me found
So desperately seeking freedom sought
Without a spoken sound
A give and take between two souls
A shared sense of belief
It is a gift not many find
But I find it upon my knees
Society may not forgive me
The world may think it a sin
But somewhere deep within me
My strength there begins
I beg you understand me
Do not laugh or find me weak
For those that carry strength like mine
Find release upon their knees
Bring down your hand and prove me wrong
Free my tortured soul
Share with me your fears and doubts
To make two minds whole
Master the understanding
It is a give and take
Fulfill a need between us
My spirit do not break
I plead with you to prove me wrong
To show weakness is not a sin
Just to find the right damn words
To make it all begin
I feel in you a strength
That clears my cluttered mind
That put some pieces into place
My soul I’ve yet to find
Do not turn your back on me
Do not shut me out
This strength will not permit me
To continue on without
My heart and soul I place with you
Please Master understand
I did not chose to be this way
It is what my strength demands.
