Tim called and said he is not going to be here tonight due to a visit to the ER. he had an allergic reaction to some medication and will more than likely be there all night. please keep your fingers crossed with me to make sure he's alright.

Apparently I do have a kryptonite here on this rock called earth.  Penicilin.  I have one of those rare severe allergic reactions to it and any derivitive of it that can cause anaphalactic shock.  Beeen in the ER since 3 pm today...fastest I have ever been seen, given a room, doctor diagnosis, Nurses cocktail injection and put under...all in less than 30 minutes.  Apparently throat closed up and was on a breathing machine till about 9:30pm when doctor pulled me off it and said the rest is up to me.  2 hours later, Im home.

Tell you what...a double shot of prednisone injected into a vein...felt like molten lava from the hand, to the wrist, up the forearm, passing the elbow, over the bicep, around the curve of the shoulder and into the middle of the pecotoralis major.  I felt it moving the whole way, on fire.  Throat tubes taste like talcum powder and my body feels like I was hit by a freight train.

Blah.

Am glad you are okay... yes and prednisone sucks donkey dicks when injected via IV... ~nods lots~ rest and take care of yourself, please... ~smiles a bit and adds in huggggggggles gently~

yeah whenever you get antibiotics... remind your doctor like 12 times youre allergic to penicillin.... -shrugs- I always get perscribed someting with penicillin and have to have my pharmicicst call up the doc and have it changed.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes.

Fortunately, I dont have to tell my doctor or pharmacist since Im a veteran and it gets automatically updated to my file with an alert.  So no matter where I go as long as I use my vet card, Im good to go.
