I got this poem from the Relay for Life tonight and wanted to share it. Though the last stanza is about cancer, I think the whole of the poen is very meaningful
It is about hope, love and dreams,
In this lifetime they are the key,
Because all the possibilities in life
Are what those things allow us to see.
Life is about believing in something,
When everybody else tells us no,
And life is about pushing ourselves
To go where others cannot go.
When it comes to acheiving things in life,
There is no middle or in between.
We must keep our drive and passion
To get to places others have never seen.
The goals in our lives are challenging.
These are not easy things we seek,
But having hope, love and dreams
Will help us climb toward our peak.
On the other side of hard battles,
Turly great things do surely wait.
Those things are our destination.
Those things are our ultimate fate
We are all here for a higher cause.
There are many great things we can do.
If we all just keep a little faith,
Our biggest wishes will come true
No challenge in this world we live
Is ever quite as bad as it really seems.
We will find a cure for cancer someday,
as long as we keep hope, love and dreams.
