Since I downloaded the new IE, I have this annoying problem, and I figure somebody else must have run into it. When I type a message longer than the 13 lines that fit in this box, the text keeps trying to center itself in the box, making it nearly impossible to edit the end of the message.
I know I can type posts in Word and paste them in. But it still would be nice if somebody knew how to make this stop.

OMG! I thought I was the only person having this problem!
its like the scroll button is stuck and auto scrolls it to the top... sooooo annoying when youre trying to type a super long post...
-
I think it has something to do with image centering, or resizing, or dithering or something like that in the advanced settings, but I have yet to find it.
It really is annoying, isn't it?

I think it is an SMF issue as I had that problem when I typed a long post on PG. That is why whenever I type a long post over there I put it to notepad, spellcheck, then copy and paste it up there.
Of course, it could also be the browser you use as well. I know when I use Internet Explorer (which I had not also used to check the boards in some time) I had that problem. Never tried it when I use Google Chrome (my current browser of choice when accessing boards)

Sounds like a mystery for ameeshia or B to figure out. I have never had that problem.
-
I think not many notice because most of the people I know around here use firefox or Opera... I have never checked the boards with opera so I dont know how that works.
-
I have the same issue...I just C&P from wordpad if Im going to make a lengthly post. If I figure out what the issue is, Ill let you know.
-
I still haven't solved it with IE, but Google Chrome works ok, in regards to this particular problem.
-
Since there were issues with this problem, I thought I would go ahead and get all techy and help everyone out.
I have tested this issue and my theory and it has worked with a post over 600 words so, here is what you do....
In your browser, IE, click on tools, go down to compatibility view settings and add webmaze to it. After that, your browser might freeze for a moment but that is because it is adjusting the settings. Once done, look back in the tools menu and compatibility view should be checked.
Now type away....
Hope this helps everyone.
