Report One-
Commander Moko:
The wagons are moving- Travel seems slow in the humid weather, but spirits are high as the night cools off. Once outside of the main circle many took the chance to strech their legs, and enjoy the evening air.
We will travel onwards for a ways tonight, there is word of a spring nearby that we will stop near. Orders have been passed along that the water is not safe for human comsumption- but let the animals drink as they will.
Taryn has set up some provisions in one of the wagons- there is fresh meat and bread, and there are rumors that there are even some fruits and vegtables to be had.
the wagons will camp during the hottest part of the day tomorrow- and should be moving out late in the aftenoon. Tend to the wagons and check the Axels and Wheels often. Most of all stay hydrated, and during the hottest parts of the day try to keep to whatever shade the wagons might offer.
End Report.
--Healers Note--
Please remember to refrain from drinking paga.
it is suggested to try and stay lightly dressed, but to be mindful of the harsh sun, a thin tunic should suffice to help avoid burns, and if possisable keep your heads covered.
during this heat all are asked to keep a bota of water will them at all times, slaves included.

**Adds another note from the Healers**
Also it is recommended to keep the eating of any type of jerky down, due to the high salt content it will dehydrate you.

Report Two:
Commander Moko:
Tonight started off quietly- moving out at dusk went easily, however we did not make it far before we found a rather perfect oasis, if only it had not been tainted by another caravan.
the other caravan had been under attact as far as we could tell, the advance patrol made note of it- when they got there it was nothing more then a smoldering wreck, there was no one alive as far as they could tell. when we got there we gathered whatever there was of use, several weapons and a sack of gold coins were the only items of note.
Mercylane did come into possesion of a bag of sparklies during the search.
One woman was found hiding out in one of the springs hidden by some of the debris, from the looks of it she was a slave, possisably recently free'd, no one however wanted to take in one more hungry mouth to feed during the lean time, Shoko tended to her wounds, and last I heard was going to keep the slave.
There was a strange happening upon the plains- a mass halucnation maybe? healers have been dispatched fearing a mass case of sun stroke. there have been reports of many people seeing a man named Tulkas swoop down on a Tarn near the convoy and pick up a slave, all of our slaves are accounted for however... the slave was said to be familar looking kiana is the name someone supplied.
Once again provisions are being tended to by Taryn, there is still plenty of fresh water, when we stop for the night tend to the animals and try to rest well, it does not look like we will recive any break from this heat.
we will continue on during the cool hours and stop around dusk, we will rest during the hot part of the day and set out again tomorrow night.
if we make good time we will arrive at the point tomorrow evening.
End Report.

Entry Three
RAGNAR
We have reached The Point and have been assigned the area between the stables and the wagon repair yard again. I like this location and am happy with the arrangements.
The wagons got off to a late start as it seems a couple accidents occurred. An accidental shooting took place among the Hunter Clan. I expect a report from Sarant accompanied by a Healers report as soon as possible. Sarant had an accident wherein she injured her foot. I will also expect a report from the Healers regarding this matter.
It was also reported to me Cassius and Shoko ended the life of a thrall. It is of little consequence.
Stabling for our mounts has been covered. Food, grooming, and general care is provided.
Our bosk may be set to grazing within the palisade directly behind our wagons. The area has been cordoned off and held for us. It is good ample grazing for the time we will be at The Point.
Given the location of The Point, their water supply is fine. Tuchuk may take advantage of their luck and enjoy swimming, bathing, and good clean cold water from their deep well.
Any in need of funds may seek out any Council Member for interest free loans to be repaid within a years time. Clan funding is also available for necessities.
Tokens may be picked up at the red and yellow wagon for our use to obtain one free visit to the bath houses... one free meal... for the Women, one free treatment at the manicure/pedicure/hair styling booth... for the Men, three free drinks and a girl at the tavern. For the slaves, a token for bathing in the slave baths, and three tokens to be used in the food areas for some enjoyment.
Please... one set of tokens per Tuchuk according to gender and status.
Be on your best behavior. We are the last of the Wagon People to resupply and due to this and the heat, tempers may easily flare.
Prices are roughly the same as last time, but great deals can be had on perishable goods due to the heat.
Enjoy!!!

Hunters Clan Incident Report;
Last night there was a most unfortunate incident. Involving one of the full Hunters Clan members, and an Apprentice. The apprentice (Freya) took it upon herself to hunt a Tabuk during our Travel's to the point. The Tabuk apparantly moved as she fired her arrow, and it struck Horu in the lower left lung. I had tended to the man. Sending the Apprentice back to the Encampment to wait for further punishment. The arrow had struck through the back, and to the front. I had removed the front and backing of the arrow, until help arrived. Terran and Shoko both worked on ceasing the bleeding.
I myself had stepped on the head of the arrow. It could be seen through the topside flesh of my foot. I cut the flesh, and removed the arrow. Instead of pulling it out from the bottom. To lessen the damage to it. It has been cleansed and treated.
End Report.

Healers Report-
Horu is stable- Last night when he was shot Terran and I did our best to stop the bleeding and at least get him ready for transport- which is a good idea seeing as we had to hit lights out soon afterwards. Several apprentices watched him untill we got to the point, their medical facilities are incrediably nice, and the healers/physicans there had him sewed up in no time, I was unwilling to leave him to be treated by strangers so I stayed by his side helping out as much as I could. when I took my leave this morning, he was doing much better then the night before- he is no longer coughing up blood and they have every expectiation that we will be able to take him back to camp with us when we leave the point. They have sedated him for now so that he can get some rest and his body can heal.
I have asked the apprentices that know him personally to take shifts watching over him- while I know he is in good hands I do not want him to have to wake up not only in a strange place but surrounded by strange people... I feel that he will suffer less stress in the long run if there is someone there he recgonizes when he wakes.
I saw Sarant this morning in passing- and her foot looks rather well, it should heal soon as long as she is careful, I suggested she walk with crutches or at least a cane to keep the pressure off her foot and to keep from opening the wound.

Would any Free need anything carried or hauled from the point to the wagons? i could see to it in the quiet times where the point is almost deserted and it would give me something to do.

Peach Merchant delivered a total of 12 crates of yellow gorean peaches, table, a light rep tarp, and a thrall to the wagons and collected 8 silver from me.
The thrall was left behind to continue pouring cold well water over the tarp covered peaches to slow the ripening process.
I thought this a bit strange, but the Merchant Georgia stated he liked doing business with Raziel and he looked forward to doing it again next year.
As long as both parties are well satisfied... so am I.
The loading I leave to my True.

Thus far there are no suls at The Point worthy of purchase. Hopefully another caravan will arrive before we leave otherwise we migrate without them.
Oddly enough, the sul Merchant that assaulted me, as well as his thrall, vanished during the wee hours of the morn leaving behind their rotting load of suls, wagon, and tharlarion. Also missing was their coin box. Imagine that.
-
A Healer must tend to Cassius, who has suffered a broken right forearm.
Naturally Cassius is irritated... an understatement... and is searching for the men who waylaid him behind the tavern last night as he was enjoying the last of his peaches in solitude. Taken from him was his pouch containing over eight gold and HIS LAST PEACH!!!
One of the men has been taken into custody by the Garrison and is in the pit awaiting Madison's judgement.
Cassius is somewhere looking for the remaining four men who are still at large. I have dispatched an Or with strict orders to return him to the wagons for treatment.

would Master Raziel wish me to see to those crates?
and if so, are they to be delivered to special wagons or just loading them up for transport?

ke'tharn
ke'tharn, good deal for you to volunteer to see to those crates. The thrall left behind, you oversee as well. They will need to be kept cool along with the larmas etc to prevent them ruining on the trip back in this heat. You are now gifted with the charge of loading all the supply wagons and directing the slaves delivering our supply.

the crates with the peaches are moved to a supply wagon, not stacked as to have access to the tarp as well as to the peaches. The thrall of the merchant was charged with the watering until relieved in the evening. once the peaches don't need tending anymore he is to approach a Slaver or trainer for further instruction as he now belongs to Tuchuk

Healers Report
Horu was found by Sarant, sweating and coughing up blood. These are not normally good reactions to his injuries. I was able to get to him in time and inserted a drainage tube into his lung so that his breathing will be easier. The Physician in charge of the Med Lodge ordered him off of antibiotics and also told the Apprentices to leave the lodge and they weren't allowed back in. Horu could have died. He is now on antibiotics and feverfew to reduce the fever and is on constant watch. Either Shoko, Taryn, Leticia, Sarant or myself are to be with him at all times for the first couple of days.
Found Cassius and reset his right arm. It is now splinted and on its way to mending, so long as he doesn't reinjure it.
While I was arguing with a stupid Physician about us taking over his Med Lodge a Stranger was brought inside and it was decided that we would take care of him. He has several contusions and lacerations. He also has broken ribs and a broken leg. Shoko sewed him up and set his ribs and with my help set his leg as well. His name is Merrick and was attacked by Raiders before finding his way to the Point. He's now under the protection of the Tuchuk Healers as well.
The Physician. After I booted him out of his med lodge he returned later with Madison whom took my side and staked the Physician outside to be walked on as much as possible. I'm alright with that.

made a trip around the Point for some still needed supplies, fishing for offers. These are the offers i could return with so far:
- a basket of twelve vulo for 35 copper if taken in amounts of ten baskets.
- a fifty pound sack of sa-tarna flour for 90 copper if at least four wagonloads are bought. The Merchant gave me a small bag as sample of the quality of his flour.
- a spice Merchant invited Ubar and four Free to stop by Her tent later this evening to discuss price and terms of delivery while showing Her spices put to use in a feast prepared.
If any of these offers are reasonable i would humbly beg for a Free to officially accept and affirm the offers.
ke'tharn
(i hope the prices are in reason, as i had to rely on this page for pricing and bartered according to it: http://taharianmerchantcaravan.angelfire.com/PriceList.html . If the prices on this page are wrong, please scale the offers accordingly *smiles*)

Actually, the thrall belongs to Raziel unless the peaches and such were purchased for Tuchuk.

A new caravan entered The Point around midday.
It contains some provisions we do need.
Cock vulo were haggled over and a price of one copper each was locked in if Tuchuk purchases a minimum of 100 cages, ten vulo to a cage. They will be held until the morrow for payment or they go back on the open market. The merchant does have over three-hundred cages.
Hen vulo were haggled over and a price of four copper each was locked in if Tuchuk purchases a minimum of ten cages, ten hens to a cage. They will be held until the morrow for payment or they go back on the open market. The merchant does have over two-hundred cages. The price can drop lower depending on the quantity purchased.
Over four-hundred doe verr are available. Price to be negotiated based on quantity purchased.
A used heavy freighter and bosk team complete with harnessing, yokes, and loading ramps is for sale just inside the gate by a retiring merchant. Asking price is six double gold. A ranking member of camp or a Clan Elder needs to inspect and negotiate.
Report made by ASKARI Orman Long Wang.

Cassius has been treated and awaits release from the Medical Lodge. Additional Medical reports in Amber's entry above.
Madison has heard the case against the surviving three men who injured and stole from Cassius. They were habitual Outlaws and were impaled on stakes outside the palisade wall by the gate as a warning to all.

I purchased no peach for myself. The one I wanted I got for free... ;D. The rest were for Tuchuk, so the thrall belongs to Tuchuk, as well as the table and the tarp.

Healers Report
Cassius has been relieved of med lodge captivity so long as he doesn't put strain on his right arm for five days.
Horu is doing much better and his lung only needs to be drained every three ahn now instead of every ahn. He is still having problems breathing, but that is to be expected. His fever has broken and is no longer being administered feverfew and antibiotics but he is still on a saline drip for the next day until he can eat soft foods at first and then solid foods without coughing so much.
"Bob" is doing well too. He is still resting due to severe exhaustion and so far things look good with healing his lacerations and contusions. He also is not to put weight on his leg or any strain on it for the next five days. For now until I am sure he is no longer exhausted he is confined to the med lodge.

Report;
Horu is on the road to recovery. It is nothing short of a miracle he lives, and will be making a full recovery. He has been eating, and sleeping still.
"Bob" has turned out to be a man named "Merrick". He is advent on discovering what is left of the wagons that were attacked. Even with the injury to his leg. He wants to see someone about more information about this, and a possibility of remaining with Tuchuk. For the kindness that was shown, when in his mind was not necessary. He has clothing to wear, although I will be replacing his ruined ones.
My own foot is healing well. Dressing has been kept clean, and there is no sign of infection.
End Report.

Entry
RAGNAR
Raziel led the wagons from The Point as I finished settling up with Madison. Madison and Reyah wished us well and look forward to seeing us during our return season.
I and the rear guard rejoined the column and all are making good time. We will travel through the night and see where we are come daybreak. Due to perishable goods, if close enough to camp we will continue into Tuchuk and sort supplies as necessary.
I have looked over the supplies gotten at The Point, and I must say I am more than a bit concerned. I feel we will be lucky to make the supplies last halfway to Turia. If not listed on the inventory of this thread, the supplies do not exist.
All Warriors will be on duty until we reach Tuchuk. None will rest in order to provide maximun security for what little supplies we have. Raziel and I are the exceptions. We will alternate the watch in order to have at least one Commander on duty at all times with a clear head and fresh. Terran will be a backup should Raziel or I become incapacitated.
Merrick AKA "Bob" will remain under Healers care. Cassius will be on light duties right at the wagons due to his injury. He is not at all happy with this order as he wishes to be in the field, which is understandable. In his position I would not wish to remain with the wagons either. All should expect him to be growly and short with people, but I know he can be counted on to place duty above personal feelings.
-
Report;
We have managed to arrive home safely. Almost to the Ahn said by the Commander? The column arrived back to Tuchuk Camp nearly by Mid Day. The provisions purchased are being distributed through the camp. As everyone ready's, and prepares for Migration.
