you do not know me now I you. However, be careful during the hurricane watch as I have dealt with them many times here in Florida. In fact, Charley landed 20 miles to the north of my place in 2004 and Wilma 50 miles tot he south in 2005. Watch yourself and know I will be praying for you.

spi, you aren't alone in the watch and wait to see how hard it hits and where. I am hoping against hope that Earl turns slightly more to the east and misses the east coast, but I have this feeling that we won't be that lucky. As long as we don't get what we did with Ida last year, I will be thankful.

I have been through a Category 1 hurricane that turned into a tropical storm as it hit the coast, it was still not the best thing to interfere in what was a beautiful week in Mazatlan at the family's hotel, with friends and family.

Stay safe, spi... We will be here when Earl leaves, as soon as he realizes he wasn't welcomed in the first place, and Fiona will hopefully take the hint as well and not come by for a visit either and instead take the path that Danielle did.. ~crosses fingers and goes back to monitoring the tropics on the 3 sites I am currently living at~

I will keep both of you...Spi and Taryn and any others in the path of Earl in my thoughts and prayers. May everyone stay safe. I had family that lost their home and everything to Ike and are still trying to recover.

Peace and Love,
Hippie

Because the sea temperature has risen 2 degrees? It is very likely? That the storms will hit Nova Scotia worse than anywhere else.
Good luck to everyone in the affected areas. I hope nothing bad happens to any of you. Always in my thoughts.

We only got a little bit of rain. a breeze (which in this area constitutes wind speeds between 5-25 mph) and a lot of cloudiness which came in late yesterday afternoon and was almost gone by sunset.. I will say we had the most beautiful sunset tonight from the various layers of clouds brought to us by Earl... I am still watching it as I know people and family who lay in the path he is heading next.. I am just thankful that it's no longer a Cat 4 it was two days ago and has lost a lot of his power and has been downgraded to a Cat 1, and they say it should be a TS by tomorrow morning...

Take care spi, hopefully by the time Earl gets to you he's not the roaring lion he was when this whole thing started and is just a little child who is in the middle of a temper tantrum ~huggggggggggggggggggggles~
