Broncos: No Signs Kenny McKinley Was Suicidal
Coach Josh McDaniels Says Nobody in Organization Saw Red Flags before WR Took His Life
NFL Player Kenny McKinley Apparently Killed Self
(CBS/AP) Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said in a tearful news conference Tuesday that nobody in the organization saw any hint that wide receiver Kenny McKinley was suicidal before he took his life.
The Arapahoe County sheriff said the second-year pro died of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home near the Broncos' headquarters on Monday afternoon.
The team gathered Tuesday morning and met with grief counselors. Linebacker Wesley Woodyard said McKinley was his usual joking and jovial self in the weeks leading up to his death.
McDaniels said the team plans to observe a moment of silence Sunday before its game against Indianapolis and players will wear decals on their helmets to remember McKinley.

yesterday at work, this was the hot topic for most the regulars as they nursed their drafts and hid from their wives. Kenny was a favorite around here since he played for the University of South Carolina, this was someone they respected, followed and rooted for...no matter where he played. anyways, seems the rumor mill was working overtime, stating that a 'friend' of Kenny's was reported as saying....with Kenny's recent knee injury, that if the Drs told him that he wasn't going to be able to return to play ball, he would no longer have anything to live for.
ever hope that something is just unfounded bs?
yeah
