Title: My absence
Post by: Raziel on October 18, 2012, 05:27:00 PM
In case any were curious, I have been remanded to the Criminal Justice Academy here in SC.  I will have completed week 4 by tomorrow afternoon.  There are a remaining 8 weeks and add Thanksgiving break, I will potentially finish up December 21st and will be a certifed LEO.  May the heavens help you now.

No, I dont say stop resisting anymore.  Only, "DOWN!"

So many new privileges to play with in the real world now.

SHIT!!! So not going anywhere near S.C., not even with the promise of being spoiled rotten while we are there... I am starting to think Fargo, ND sounds better and better with each passing day... -nods lots and lots-

-grins sweetly- In all honesty, I am happy for you and it sounds like you are heading into a week that is going to be nothing but fun for you and pure terror for your instructors... Good luck and have fun, dearest brother! <3<3

So, night driving qualification on the precision course and factor in threshold braking.  Yes exactly what you might imagine riding in a patrol car with me would be like.  I actually sat down and told my instructor to buckle up with a smile.  At the end of that run as I was the first to go, my instructor actually complimented me after settling back in his seat.  Said I have an outstanding understanding of how far I can push the ABS system to its working limits and he's never seen anyone with such braking skills.   Lights, siren, car in high speed precision driving with over 1000 cones throughout the course and not one touched in the dark.  Can you say I had fun?  The instructor needed a minute to get some water when we got done.
