Antonio Fara, the previous capo in Queens, had been in poor health for 5 years and the Genovese control had dwindled. He passed away finally and Farina was given the job to rehabilitate the Genovese control of Queens.
After successfully getting things rolling in Queens, he began expanding into Brooklyn and New Jersey. In June 2001, he was promoted to the Don of the Genovese family, replacing Cirillo who retired and went back to Sicily.
Diego is actually the Don or Godfather of the thriving Genovese Mafia family that runs both legal and illegal businesses in NYC. Genovese Enterprises, Genovese Construction Inc. (GCI), managed by Ben Bravio; Refuse Removal Inc. (RRI), managed by Johnny Dee; Easy Loans, a loan sharking operation run by Alex Pontifio; Big Apple Escorts, a call girl operation managed by Lauren Bianchi; the Carnegie Hill Spa, managed by Tammi Hanlin; and a gambling operation managed by Ernie Betrone that includes sports betting and the numbers racket. He purchased the Four Seasons Supper Club from the Four Seasons Hotel chain and he recently hired Madison Cirillo to manage it. He also owns the Carnegie Hill Apartment Complex.

Dennis had worked for his father for a long time, tending bar and taking sports wagers. His grandfather had migrated from Dublin, Ireland years ago and built Mahoney's Irish Pub in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. The family had always struggled to make ends meet, probably because grandpa had a gambling problem. Dennis' father also had the gambling gene, but he decided to make the bar more profitable by offering sports gambling. That way he controlled the spread and knowing his customers' homer tendencies, managed to make decent profits.
The problem was he was competing against the local Mafia operations. He was a true Irishman and never buckled under to their pressure. In 2002 he was found shot in the back of the head in an alley, assumedly by the Tattaglia family.
Dennis took over, and quickly added the numbers rackets to the family income. Numbers is highly popular in the city and the police tend to look the other way because the politicians want things that way. Once again, Dennis little operations were noticed by the Italian families and little conflicts arose. He realized that the Genovese family, under the direction of Don Diego Farina, was gaining control of the city over the Tattaglia family, including refuse removal, gambling and the numbers operations.
Dennis set up a meeting with Diego and convinced him that they would both benefit by joining forces in Brooklyn to squeeze the Tattaglia family and the Russian Mafia out. It worked. Dennis now handles all the gambling and numbers operations in Brooklyn and feeds the Genovese family ten percent of the profits.

Jason’s true identity is largely unknown and only three individuals have accurate detailed knowledge of Jason: a high ranking US government official; a French retired general; and a rich Kuwaiti Oil Magnate. These individuals had professional dealings with Jason in the past. The US official is now a close presidential advisor to the current US administration although his past is with the Intelligence community as an ex-CIA operative and deputy-director. He was Jason’s mentor taking the young tough orphan at the age of 20 under his wing and saw his development in the US Army’s special operations forces. Recruited into the CIA he would become a part of a Black Ops team which conducted clandestine direct action operations against global criminal and terrorist organizations. Jason would develop many contacts in the underworld, black markets and certain political and military circles world wide.
In mid 1994, tasked with the elimination of suspected terrorist ring leaders in Africa, the mission was a success but at the expense of several hundred innocent civilians. Global media reported the incident as tribal infighting. This caused great fundamental changes within Jason as he believed in his duty but not the slaughter of innocents. So began one of the many moral dilemmas that would afflict him. When tasked to eliminate a terrorist sect in some Middle Eastern nation, he disappeared and the mission was botched. Jason eliminated his target but bad intelligence had again failed to report the location of the mark’s family. Not only had he killed a mark he had spilled innocent blood. Collateral damage as called by his mentor. He realized he had been lied to he never made it back to the extraction point and was listed as MIA. To this day his whereabouts is unknown and his records remain closed and locked away.
Jason was able to escape the hostile Middle Eastern nation only by his intimate knowledge of area and culture blending in with his surroundings. He was able to make his way to Kuwait where he linked up with an old comrade from the first Gulf War. Jason had saved his life at the hands of Iraq torturers; he is the son of a lesser Kuwaiti oil magnate and eventual became good friends with him. His only alternative was to go underground and with a little help from his friend managed to disappear from the world and traveled to France.
He would emerge five years later as Alexander Navarre a naturalized French citizen and an ex-Legionnaire. Jason was befriended by French Senior Officer who later discovered Jason’s true identity by accident. The general kept his secret and recruited him as a bodyguard. In France Jason would be initiated into the French underworld and would be used by the French general to ruthlessly eliminate his rivals reigning supreme and then war with some of the Russians. He would develop further underworld contacts world wide and eventually leave the general on good terms. The general would be a welcomed benefactor as he provided intelligence, arms and support—in exchange for his expertise, his calling card, “The Cleaner” would spread in the European underworld.
With the help of the General, Jason returned to the US in late 2004 after ten years. Arriving in New York he met up with Milo from France and Josef from the Ukraine, both having ties with the French General. Here in New York he would sell his skills to the highest bidder eliminating competitor with extreme prejudice. A local Russian crime lord was the first to avail of his services as a power struggle occurred within the Russian mafia in New York and peace would be enforced after a series of bloody fire fights. Alexander Navarre would work exclusively for the Russians until a most unfortunate event happened in Marseille.
It was that same old moral dilemma but the argument was getting tiresome and this time it would be the last. The Russians had used their French contacts to undermine the French general. A successful attack on a French businessman and his family happened to be a ranking member of the general’s own staff. The Russians deceived Jason and the French from the beginning and now the General wanted answers. French thugs soon made their way to New York to see Jason as the Russians entrenched themselves in this upcoming war for global underworld dominance which has now spilled out into the streets of New York and across the Atlantic.

Eve entered Columbia in the fall of 2004 to study psychology. In the spring of 2005 her parents were killed back home in California by a drunk driver leaving her wondering how she would pay for school. It was a meeting with Amy that set her career in motion when Amy told her about a photo shoot and invited her along.
Bobby saw her and pushed for her to take a few more photos which were shown to Mr. Fife of Fife Modeling agency. A contract was signed and she began work.
An opportunity to model for Arena magazine was given to her and after a fight with her boyfriend of the time Dexter Stockman she went to California where the shoot was being done. Once there the editor and the photographer loved her. She began friends with them. She was given the cover and it was a rather alarming pose for some as only her arms were covering her upper body. It was a very sultry and erotic looking photo. During that weekend she also made the headlines of every tabloid paper by being caught in what looked like a compromising position as she was leaning in to hear Colin Farrell this position happened to look like he was kissing her and his hand was on her back. This did not help her situation with Dex and the two drifted apart.
She found solace in long time friend Brody but with her being gone for the summer months modeling all over the globe those two drifted apart. Even today she still remembers her first love Dex. It’s a wonder if she will ever get him out of her heart or if her heart will be tainted forever.
She has a new contract with Fife modeling agency, five years and Mr. Fife gets 20% of what she makes. She owes everything to him and the ability he has had at getting her top quality work. She is also considering moving into her own place or an apartment with someone else but it’s just a thought.

Madison came to the big apple and to Columbia to get a taste for freedom from her father, Domenic Cirillo. She had always either been taught by tutors or away at private schools.
Once in New York she settled quite nicely into her lavish penthouse and attended business classes. After dating several guys she met Joshua Turning by chance when he stepped in during a confrontation between her and one of the guys whom she was tired of. Something in Josh made her smile and she was determined to see him again. This of course happened. It was only a matter of time before the two became exclusive.
A case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time had Madison kidnapped while her father came to town and the Genovese corporation went to work in getting her back from her captors who had no idea who she was. This gave her a new found meaning for the family business which she had known about for years but really wanted no part of. It was at that time that she sought out her father and her life changed in a way. She met with Diego and was made the manager of the Four Seasons Supper Club. This kept her in the business but also kept her on the clean side of the business. Up until her father was killed she still shared with him everything that went on. She knows all the secrets and holds a great many secrets that would have her as one of the most powerful women in New York if she was to start using what she knew, but she doesn’t. Instead she merely goes about her life and other than her name no one knows anything about her really.
She had an affair with Ben Bravido who manages Genovese Construction. It was short lived for when she was confronted by Josh. It was after this confrontation and discussion that the two agreed to get married. In a very quick civil service ceremony at city hall the two tied the knot. She did tell her father but for a time it was a secret.
Madison’s father was killed, but not before telling her that the mother she thought was dead was actually alive and she also found out she has a twin sister. Justine and Sophie Delancy moved to the big apple and though she hates her sister she is trying to build a relationship with her mother.

Tiffany had an opportunity to transfer to Ecole Centrale Paris for one year and spent her freshman year there. She returned to New York City and Columbia in September, 2005.
She dated a fellow named Pierre LaFonte while in Paris and learned a lot about both sex and life in general from Pierre. Of course, she never mentioned Pierre to her father, since Pierre is probably 6 or 7 years older than her. But Pierre showed up in NYC and Diego had to run him off.

When Tom Hanlin won the presidents job in New York City they moved to Queens and that's where the trouble started. Tom was off working long hours to re-stabilize the Teamsters and Tammi started loafing at the Four Seasons, enjoying the attention of a few younger men. Tom got wind of it and assaulted Tammi over it. She shot him with his own gun when he smacked her around and threatened her with physical abuse.
That was when Diego hired her as a bookkeeper for Easy Loans and eventually named her as the manager of the wonderful Carnegie Hill Spa.
Tammi semi-dated Jason Maloney, a masseur in her Spa, but lately she been seen more with the new masseur there, Eoin Ryan. He's a hunk! We're quite anxious to see where her new relationship with Eoin leads.

Born to an Irish father and Sicilian mother, Sean Sullivan was seven when his parents separated due to his father's excessive drinking and domestic violence. For the next two years, he and his mother managed to eek out a life in Astoria . . . that's Queens, NY. One night, he was woken by his mother's terrible screams, as an intruder was climbing through a window and she was trying to beat him back. Sean grabbed the gun his mother kept in the closet and shot the intruder . . . thereby killing his father.
There were no legal proceedings to be had, but for the change his mother insisted on: the name change to Anthony Terriali . . . Terriali being her maiden name. She took him away from New York and back to Sicily and her family. They lived there, in a seaside fishing town, peacefully until her death when he was 20. Anthony, not in school, now alone, went to live with a maternal uncle and work in his fishing company. Eventually, he rose to manage that company when another uncle, far more affluent, called for his return to the States.
This uncle owns several properties in and around New York, under the name D'Amelio Properties, Ltd. Anthony initially began there as a simple laborer, doing odd jobs to help things go smoothly. Eventually, his uncle named him "Manager" of the piers D'Amelio Properties owns in Brooklyn. It seemed to fit, Anthony near the water, and whatever issues arose between Anthony and the Teamsters seemed to be resolved rather well. Things get done when he takes on the task . . . simple task or the ugly, unseemly tasks that no one discusses. His is . . . "morally flexible" as his uncle says. The child psychologist called it a "burgeoning predisposition to violence." He comes across every type of person, every shade of character, and it's never really clear where this man, who seems so . . . malleable . . . will lean. His emotional unavailability makes him the perfect wrench for his uncle. But one thing is known . . . those who know him have come to call him "La Volonta," or "The Will" because he either has it . . . or he uses it to make things "right."

Born in Sri Lanka to a founding member of EROS (the Eelam Revolutionary Organisation of Students), a militant Tamil group, Maya's first years in this world were spent in Jaffna, hunted with her family by the Sri Lanka army.
In Sri Lanka, they lived at first on her grandparent’s remote farm, a collection of huts without electricity or running water. After a year, as her fathers involvement in militant activities increased, Maya, her older sister Kali and their mother moved to Jaffna in the far North of the country, where her younger brother Sugu was born. Contact with her father by this time was strictly limited as he was in hiding from the army, he occasionally visited in secret, slipping through the window at night and being introduced to the children as an uncle so that they didn't give him away to the army when they regularly came to question the family.
Eventually, as the civil war escalated, it became unsafe for them to stay in Sri Lanka, so her father sent them to relocate to Madras in India. Maya’s mother moved with the three children into an almost derelict house, 3 miles from the nearest road or neighbour. They scraped by for a while, with sporadic visits from Maya’s father, and the girls attended the local school, excelling as students. After a while, visits from friends and family grew less frequent and money grew very tight. The children became ill, Maya’s sister caught Typhoid and they struggled to eat enough. A visiting uncle took concern and moved them back to Sri Lanka again, where they settled back in Jaffna.
By then, the violence of the civil war was at its peak and the family repeatedly tried to flee the country. The army regularly shot Tamils seeking to move across border areas and bombed roads and escape routes. After several failed attempts to leave, Maya’s mother successfully made it out with the three children, on to India and then finally to London, where they were housed as refugees.
It was in the notoriously racist council estate in Mitcham, Surrey, that Maya began to learn English. Aged just eleven and in a new country, she was exposed to western radio for the first time by the noise resonating from her neighbours houses. Her affinity for the western culture grew from the music heard which clicked with a frustrated, energetic war-child trying to relate to grey and foreign surroundings. Maya was a talented and creative student, eventually winning a place at London's Central Saint Martins Art School, where she studied fine art, film and video. Here, for the first time, she began to piece together some of the different strands of her life experience. She learnt how to play off her different cultural personae against each other; layering rap iconography with the warfare pictures from her youth, Asian Britain with American new-wave film making style and St. Martin's fashion sense with refugee outlooks.
A successful art career beckoned and, for a while, seemed to be Maya's destined path. Her first-ever public exhibition of paintings featured candy coloured spray-paint and stencil pictures of the Tamil freedom movement. The show was a minor success but quickly forgotten as her brand of art and namely, her family backround, had no place in the harsh reality of a world after September 11. Facing surmounting criticism from all levels of Enlish society Maya and her family were forced to leave as, freedom fighter...and the Tamil cause...were now branded with the ugly mark of "Terrorism".
Leaving behind the controversy in England Maya and her family, again on the run and short of funds, fled to the most unlikely place. With family in New York, the heart of the machine waging against Terrorism, Maya's family came to live in Manhattan as illegal immigrants working in the lower east side and Garment District. Her aspirations of an art career on hold Maya manages to scrape by with her mother and siblings, while immersing herself in another art form. With New York's hip hop scene still alive and flourishing, both commerically and in the underground, Maya attempts to get a foothold in the underworld music scene. Being a female though puts her at a severe disadvantage among her peers who can't quite simply grasp her brand of music...

Shane was born in a slummy part of Queens. His Dad was a drunk and liked to push him and his mother around a lot. When Shane was eight, his mother left them. for the rest of his life, Shanes Father told him he was weak and that is why his mother left. In order to prove his father wrong, he began to work out and build his body, and he acted tough in school. In middle school, he was the school bully, and then in high school, he was the bad boy. All the girls wanted to date him.
When Shane turned eighteen he and a few friends decided to go to "Rich Samantha Emeris " Birthday party. they had a few drinks but Shane was very sober when he played seven minutes of Heaven with the birthday girl and things got out of hand. He vaguely remembered her saying no, but thought she was too drunk to know what she wanted.
That night when he got home, he got in a pretty heavy argument with his Father, and moved out. He moved to Brooklyn for a short time, before moving back to Queens. When he moved back he found out Samantha had just had a baby. <i> His </i> Baby. He grew angry that she didn't tell him. He went to her house and demanded that she give him the baby. She told him his name was Devin James Emeris, not Devin James King, and that the boy didn't belong to him. Then, after throwing him out of the house, she ran.
He found her again and again over the last six years, but she kept running. Now he has found her again in Brooklyn.
Recently he Joined a man who told him he'd help him get Devin. This man created a drug called foxamanide. It is put in the hand of the person administering the drug. The person administering it waves their hand in front of the other persons face and instantly the other is effected. The drug effects brain functions and makes the person taking it very confused and disoriented. Its also very easy to convince the person who has taken it to do something. Something that in their right mind they wouldn't do. (Like give you their child)
Shane will stop at nothing to get his son, and hopefully take back the mother with him.
