This Week's Gossip
New York City, the city that never sleeps. That might just describe the way I keep waking up every night these days at the slightest sound. My Plaza Hotel security has been providing a man in the 15th floor lobby as protection against this crazy Doll Man, but after the way he's managed to penetrate so many private locations, I still don't feel safe.
Diego insists on having Gino and Jason accompany Rachel and me on our typical Central Park morning runs or fast walks. Rachel says that Mike Miller is worried about her situation too, after the Doll Man snuck in her Carnegie Hill penthouse suite last week like that.
On Monday, the police finally located Harry Wagner and spent over an hour questioning him at his "Dolls & Stuff" toy store in Queens. Apparently, Angel Jones walked in there as Joe was wrapping up the interrogation. Angel was buying birthday gifts for her niece.
Rachel said she spent Tuesday evening with Mike Miller and Mike was a bit nervous about Jason guarding her apartment door.
I'm hoping there's a quick breakthrough here, because as much as I enjoy Gino, Alex and Doni I can't do the kind of gossip research I normally conduct with these guys hanging around.
Saturday night I shared a glass of wine with Rachel, then headed over to Diego's brownstone with Gino as my bodyguard. Nothing safer than Diego's bed!
