On our way to search Jess Bradford's temporaray hideout, Jeff Mallard told us about a killer we need to locate here in New York City.
Elspeth (El) resides alone in a small apartment in Manhattan. She works zealously in her CSI job, but in a strange situation she spent over a year with Genovese Construction Inc. manager, Ben Bravio as her boyfriend. That affair came to a sad crashing end when she caught Ben with Madison Cirillo in his apartment in June of 2005.
When Elspeth Wise was nine, she and her older sister (17) went out for a burger one night. She didn't make it back. They were run off the road, raped, beaten, and left for dead. Her sister died just before they were found. The men ages 19 and 20, were arrested, convicted and sentenced to life with no parole. One of them managed to get out via an accident. The jail he was housed in was condemned and he was sent just across the state line. Long story short, he accidentally got paroled, skipped the state, and ended up in NYC under a new name. Turns out he's the guy that also raped and murdered 15 year old Beth Brown here in New York City.
Jeff was running the fingerprints we found at the Brown murder scene and up popped a guy named Andrew Barton, a guy that was being hunted for a few robberies in Alabama.
Jeff kept looking and it turns out the prints also matched a guy named Alexander Rustoff, the guy that murdered El's sister. El excused herself from the Brown case and turned everything over to Jeff and left town, hoping a three week vacation might ease the pain of all this.
