She's gorgeous!!!! Question tho.. what's the difference between a victorian bulldog and an english one? Inquiring minds want to know! *grin*
-
oh Mistress, she's BEAUTIFUL!!
congrats on your newest baby~ :)
-
Ohhhh pretty baby! -bounces- I want a puppy!
-
if I am not mistaken, the victorian bull dog has a longer snout than the english bull dog which has the pug type nose and face...
now I want a puppy just like him... ~nods lots and heads off to beg, yes beg for a puppy~

i want i want i want!!!

Taryn is correct....
I dont remember the exact order, but how you get a victorian bulldog is breed an american bulldog with an olde english one, take their offspring, and breed that offspring again with another american or english I cant remember which....
which brings about a more "family" version, with longer snout for easier breathing, and less breathing issues later in life, and victorians also end up taller, with longer legs to better support the weight differential between the ass end and the head....
she's SUCH a love muffin, and already knows how to sit for her collar, sit for her cookies, AND poops outside!!!!.....
and this morning when "daddy" said "come on lil princess, time to go outside and go pee", she buried her nose and snuffled deeper into my arms and the blanket!!!! a baby after my own heart!!!!! LOLOLOLOL
the only thing I dont understand about the full pedigree thing is that I was looking at her family tree, one champion among them, I think it was her great grandfather LOL but they ALL have the DUMBEST names on the planet......
I like nice and simple.......hence......our house now includes the two dogs (Buddy and Miki), the four cats (Frank, Jo, Penny, and Nickel or Niki), the fish (Dash), and my other boys LOL
but yes, Miki is just a riot, and such a cuddle bug, and smart, and and and and and.... LOL
anyway..... I HAD to share *MWAH*

Ahh ok! I understand now. I'd never heard of them and I was curious. Sooooo... being better proportioned, does this mean that they can swim? cuz engish's are... mmm.. top heavy... and bob with their butts in the air. A neighbour has one and they've had to drag it out of the fish pond a couple times. *wrygrin* Apparently it can be rather dangerous cuz they can drown that way.
Personally, I want an American Bull Terrier... Spuds McKenzie from the Labbats comercials.. and for you Canadians, Don Cherry's dog Blue! They're the dog world's clowns but so tough and durable!
But Kar, I know what you mean about dumb names. Our Malamute is a purebred and her lineage, which also has some champions, has some of the weirdest names! We named her Alice Mae (Mae for short) after the derilict barge in Robert W. Service's "The Cremation of Sam McGee" ... ok... I explain... Robert Service wrote comedic poetic tales about the Yukon goldrush and all of his works either take place in, or mention, the Malamute Saloon. So, we named her after something from one of the poems. But if y'all ever want a good laugh, look up his stuff.
