Entry One
I can only rember a few times when the snow and ice were this bad before the herds decided to move....the last few days have been hard......exposure to the elements taking its toll...the healing staff is working tirelessly to help the members of our family.....often sleeping an hour or so at a time....eating jerky so that the injured and exhausted can have the fresh rations.....the teas we commonly use to help us through these tough times are running very low...pain medicine is almost non-existent...soon we will be doing surgery without anesthesia....the valerian is gone and I'm not sure how long the lavenia will hold out....the willowbark ea is being made as weak as possible to stretch it as long as we can.....
We started to move tonight, the scent of the funeral pyres was strong in my nostrils as the wagons were rocked free.....I rest when I can during my shift in the Med Wagon....Coverted is holding up well.....Kitria sent one of her thralls to help me and mine and I appreciate it a lot, however after the last migration, I am keeping a close eye on him when I can.....I worry when I can't be around that he will try to sabotage my wagons or harm my girls......
Now we move endlessly, trying to outrace another storm...the going is slow.....having to stop to clear away the ice build up on the axles.....but we pull together as a family.....the younger helping the older members, the widows....
How many will earn their courage scars...how many will not live to earn their first scar.....how many will the endless skies claim.......

Entry Two
I had to set up a quarantine wagon.....20 outriders came back from patrol so sick, I couldn't take a chance of them infecting other people....Nex and I have worked through the night.....we have 5 healing slaves helping us and two thralls drive the wagon....Most of the men have pneumonia....Many are so sick, I doubt they will make it.....
It always amazes me how the family pulls together at times like these....small amounts of medications are being found and offered in the hope of it easing even one sick Warrior.....

-Foot note to Entry Two of Kelsey's Migration log-
The medicines scrounged up by the Family were put to immediate use, as sparingly as possible. Willowbark tea fused with a drop of laudanum to ease each Warrior's sleep was passed out during the night every few ahns. The other medicines have been set aside in hopes that they would not be needed as the migration wears on...
