Title: Whirlwind out-of-state trip and impending move!
Post by: Thalia on March 02, 2007, 12:52:28 AM: I'm taking a little raiding party to Minnesota to steal me a Tuchuk back to Delaware. -grins- I'll be ... er... "Range Roving" in just a few hours' time and will probably arrive early Saturday morning, weather permitting. Then I'm going to turn right back around, so I should be back home Sunday afternoon.

I'm also in the middle of a move. Hubby and I found a great townhouse 15 minutes from where we currently live. Unfortunately, the housing boom in my area has caused a supply-and-demand crisis, and it may be as long as a month before we have cable and 'net in the new place. -hates waiting lists- I won't actually lose my internet service; it will simply be transferred from one place to the other, once the cable thrall sets everything up. However, my time will get increasingly scarce as more and more of my stuff is transferred to the new place and I have less access (i.e., spend less time near) to my current internet connection.

doing a tilt-a-whirl in this weather is NOT fun... ~looks at hubby and shudders~ and that was on already salted roads, but the ice had reformed, and the idiot in front of us, and the idiot in front of them slammed on thier brakes, and well I don't want to find out that feeling again...

I completed my travel requirements by hugging the Papa and the woobs and talking to my Mistress on their borrowed cell phone! -cringes about the whole cell phone thing, muttering "I know, I know..."-

Master D, sorry I missed you! I didn't realize you lived in Minnesota!

I'll catch up with the rest of the boards when we've all had some sleep!

Post by: Thalia on March 06, 2007, 02:06:26 PM: It looks like we will be able to hijack the neighbors' wi-fi sometimes, though only if a user with an unsecured wireless connection happens to be online when we need to check e-mail and the boards. Needless to say, it's impossible to chat with such a slow and faulty connection, but at least we can drop messages here and there!

Skies willing, we will have Comcast cable, phone, and 'net on Friday. The surveyor-dude came early, as Teggie predicted he would. I should learn to believe his time frame predictions!
