pleasure, when you get a chance, get with me about making a tioncture....Wilowbark is meant to be chewed to release the medicine....most of the animals would just eat it, except for kaiila, who won;t even touch it as they are meat eaters.....also, willowbark is like asprin....will check through our herbs to see if there might not be somethng stronger and more effective for livestock....asprin maybe like putting a band-aid on a surting artery!!

Knowing what I do of medicating horses -- and the reason for the term "horse pills" -- what would be a staggaring dose for a human is nothing to a 1200 pound animal. I would say that Valerian would be more like it.
-
agreed, but a good part of the time we are not very well stocked on valerian for humans much less livestock. What about lavenia?
-
That would also be a much better option!
-
*nodslots* Lavenia sounds like a plan, Sis. Will do the job and we should have enough of it.
-
reads intently and nods lots as i will be expected to know all of this stuff *walks off with a wide eyed expression*
-
I may sound cold but, what ever happened to just putting the animal down and out of it's missery?
-
I doubt anyone is going to put an animal down because it needs a check up, or has a wound needing closing. (not life threatening that is)
I don't mean to sound cold, but it's sad a Kaiila trainer should be saying such a thing like that.
-
severly wounded animals most likely would be put down, but we are talking here about wounds that require attention and healing
-
Thanks for the clarification Sis. The mention of stronger pain killers kind of mislead Me.

a girl isnt speaking of major surgeries and has spoken with Mistress Shylina about wounds we can tend including some of the major wounds. a girl has spoken with Mistress Lilac at length as well. we are not talking major wounds but simple ones that One wouldnt really want to lose a kailla whom someOne had spent months training it to. a simple wound can be deadly should it get infected and be allowed to fester. as we are here for the Bosk and because of the Bosk, i felt that my endeavor to become a veterinary slave was a good idea.
-
it definitely is a great idea pleasure.....I think the medical team is just trying to give you some help with more effective medicines.....I would be more than happy to teach you how we make our healing slaves as they can be used on either human or animal.....would also love to learn more about some of the poultice the stock tenders might employ as some of them can be used on humans as well....
-
pleasure, it is a damn good idea. I might be using those vet med kits often, kaiila have a tendency to get all kinds of cuts, gashs, dents and dings during training.
-
Mistress Kelsey, i would be pleased to speak with You some time concerning the medicines, it takes ALOT of willow bark to stop pain, the best ive used has been the bluegrass goo on the kailla with the gored ribs. Master Faramir, pleasure would be happy to make You and Master Krul Your own med kits if needed.
-
My thanks pleasure, a proper vet med kit would be appreciated, no hurry though since a girl has other chores. I think the kaiila would thank ya too since My old kit contains some stout paga, bosk urine boiled down, moss, and steel staples.
I should warn a girl, it is not uncommon for kaiila to die in training.
-
Master Your medkit is placed near Your door.
-
My thanks pleasure, it is appreciated *smiles*
-
You are more than welcome Master. and should anyone else need a veterinary med kit feel free to leave a message
-
Mistress Kitya, Your kit is on Your porch near Your doorway.
-
Awesome! THank you muchly lure!!!

Please make sure these are checked and restocked since they have likely been used during migration.
