Let me set the scene for you. My house. As you walk in the front door, on your left is a staircase to go upstairs along the outside wall. The staircase is open on one side, so that as you ascend you can look down into the livingroom, which is right in front of you standing in the entryway. To actually get INTO the livingroom, you currently have to step over a large suitcase standing on it's side with the handle extened out and resting against the staircase, thus making a very effective barrier to keep kidlet types out of the entryway and staircase.
Now, imagine me stepping over said suitcase barrier to go outside and suddenly a loud WHAM!!! is heard. This would be the sound of me bashing my knee into the corner of the staircase. VERY hard.
This is what I did thursday night. Apparently I have bruised the bone. Go me!! It was very swollen, and it took two days for a bruise to start showing on the skin... which tells me that it's a DEEP bone bruise. I'm doing the ice thing, and trying not to walk on it too much.. yeah.. with a 9 month old... the joys of my life! *laffs* I discovered yesterday, what happens if you go shopping with a bone bruised knee. It leaves you lame for the rest of the day!
So yeah, I'm doin the gimpy thing for the next who knows how long. *mutters*

How bad is the staircase hurt?

Yeah well, it doesn't help when some kymlets keep using that knee to pull herself up, and, when I'm wearing my knee brace, keeps poking the actual bruised part, since it's open there. yeeesh!! *lol*
It's getting better... slowly.
I figure it could have been worse. Considering where I hit it on the staircase, I'm lucky I didn't chip the kneecap or something.
I just did a quicky walmart run to load up on cake and junkfood for the day. *grin* What better way to turn 33 than to eat junkfood all day!
