Post by: Kitya on December 30, 2007, 12:51:50 PM: Hey... Just to let y'all know, I will be totally offline, not even checking the boards (which I do almost daily), for the next week and a bit. Tomorrow morning we're heading down to Texas to visit with the in-laws and won't be back till the following tuesday.

So everyone enjoy your New Year, Panthers, kick the guy's butts!! *grin* And I'll see y'all when we get back. Kidlet gets to go ride a donkey.... *grin* should be fun, and yes we'll have pictures.

Post by: Kitya on January 08, 2008, 09:18:33 PM: Ok... well.. as you can see, we're home. It's 11:14pm and we got home about an hour ago. kidlet is in bed, and I'm going to bed as soon as my allergy meds kick in.

We had a good time... unfortunately kidlet got sick while we were down there, and then, hubby and I got sick.... and then his mom and dad got sick... and well.. we basically gave this to everyone in the family cuz his Sister and her two girls came out this last weekend and they got sick the next day when they were at home. 24 hour REALLY bad stomach virus.... can't keep food down... etc. not much fun.

Kidlet DID get to ride a donkey... i have pics, they're just not off the camera yet. She thought it was AMAZING!!! She also got a fuzzy boa from gramma and grampa... which she immediately diva'd, putting it around her neck and pranced all over the house with it... *snickers*

What else... hmmm.. oh! kidlet loves mexican food... big shocker there... she was remarkably good in the car all the way down and all the way back.... oh and never EVER try to stop at Memphis for the night, the night before Elvis' birthday. *rme* the hotels were all packed!

I'll go into more detail once I've had some sleeps... we didn't stop till 1am, was up by 8am, and we've been on the road all day, except for breakfast at IHOP, supper at McDonalds, and a couple running breaks for kidlet... one which included rinsing off the carseat cuz she got too hot and well... yeah.

But yeah.. we're all home, safe... and now we have high winds, and a tornado watch, and tons of rain... yay!
