Amber's post got me thinking and suprisingly couldn't find a thread on this already with all the baby talk
i remember when i was expecting my first child and a stranger (dontcha love it) walks up to me and tells me if all else fails to sooth my crying baby to check his/her toes for a strand of hair that may have wrapped around it tight.
my own advice...if you can't find the carkeys - check the vcr (yes i'm dating myself :)

*laughing*
do NOT let anyone under 3 1/2 feet tall HELP you operate the microwave, the VCR, the washing machine, dryer, can openers, ANYTHING electric...
do NOT let them HELP you mow the lawn on a riding mower, or fill the gas on a push mower.. do NOT let them help you set off bottle rockets, or get your lighter for you if you smoke.
DO show them how the doggie door works, but NOT the lock on the fencegate to the yard... and for God's sake, don't let them see you climb a ladder to the roof of the house..
LMAO~
(these are all things my kid's father nearly lost his life for when I had to deal with the aftermath)
oh, and if you don't find what you are looking for crammed into the VCR.. check the toilet

AND of course....
if you DO still have a VCR and it stops working....check for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!!
*LOL*

and if the VCR is free from any sammich-y experiments the kids may have had, then check the vcr for your drunk roomies porno dvd's
and no frigging joke that happened to me once.....

keep all powdered soaps way out of their reach.. cause sometimes they belive they are helpin and well soap flour milk an two dozen eggs don't make good cookies....lol... oh and of course the gallon of milk all in the small play mixin bowls.... or they think they are gonna make bubbles baths for you and their dollys but either the dog or the cat get it.... as well as the cost of the wet dry vac to save the carpet six feet down the hall from the bathroom...lol

and keep the baby powder out of reach..... because if said toddler realizing that you are putting stuff on teh carpet to make it smell good... you could wind up with white powdery walls, carpets, tile floors, bedding, and pets........my oldest was profiecent at this art
