The Genovese Enterprises Meeting is normally held in the Bergen Hunt and Fish Club at 10:00 pm EST, except the first week of each month when the Board of Directors meet.

Last night the Genovese family meeting went extremely well, even with a few people were missing. Ernie, Ben, Eoin, Tammi, and Natalie were all there.
I advised everybody that didn't already know that Maddie Cirillo has finally returned and will resume her duties as the manager of my Four Seasons Supper Club where I'm sure she'll be received with open arms.
I told them that I'm pleased to report that even though the stock market is lingering near depression numbers, we're making more profits than ever. The rising gasoline costs were easily passed on to the projects, including the refuse removal contracts.
Our gambling profits are holding even as long at Ernie keeps the spreads correct. Ernie said the biggest recent winner was Judge Isabella DeSimone, but he said she hadn't won since last year and lost a bundle in the World Series last fall. Ernie passed me the month's envelope before the meeting was adjourned.
Ben, was next up to give us the status of all the construction projects. He walked up to the map on the wall and said, "As you'll see almost all the pins are green indicating that those projects are on schedule and making adequate profits. Red pins would indicate a serious problem and right now none are red. The two yellow pins in New Jersey are the refinery projects where there are some scheduling problems that we're taking care of as we speak. The Freedom Tower in Manhattan is rolling along quite smoothly and the new Yankee Stadium will be finished before next season as planned."
I questioned the actual completion date because I'd personally promised George Steinbrenner we would beat that schedule. Ben said they would be finished before winter set in. I told Ben I would hold him to that promise because if we managed to finish before January 1st, we would receive a one million dollar bonus.
I moved to Eoin next, asking for a report on the numbers racket.
Eoin said, "Most of the winnings in July were small stuff, less than $1000, easily covered by the overall income. The only big payout this month was to a Ms. Lindsay Davis. She hit on her usual number of 069 just before the end of the month, and won $5000. I made the delivery myself on Saturday evening after closing up at the spa and no I didn't come back with any of the $5K this time.
I laughed and replied, "Now did Tammi have anything to do with that decision? I know little Miss Hot Pants would never turn you down."
Eoin laughed and responded with, "I'm sure I don't know what you mean boss."
Tammi just smiled while I said, "You're a good man and a smart one to boot, Eoin"
"Two of the reasons I'm still breathin' boss."
Tammi was next giving her report on the Carnegie Hill Spa saying, "We're really pleased with the continued results of the expansions Ben did in the Spa. Steady increase in attendance and more profits all around. Thank you Ben, you came through as always."
Ben just smiled and said the late night massages helped.
Natalie was last to speak regarding the medical exams, responding to my question with one single statement, that she needed to meet with me in private after the meeting.
Before we broke up, Tammi said that she would meet with the missing Lauren Bianchi on Tuesday to discuss the Big Apple Escorts situation. We know with the two deaths and several of her call girls still recovering in the hospital, Lauren is working overtime herself to keep her escort service up to speed.
After the meeting I took Nat back to my office where she gave me the list of the four people that failed their drug tests. Two were refuse truck drivers, the usual biggest problem area and one was a steel worker of Ben's. I'll pass those names along to them to handle, no doubt firing all three guys unless they come up with a reason to keep them.
The troublesone one for me was Chloe Barrow, one of Lauren's top producers. I said I would meet with Chloe and Lauren myself to decide what we might do there.
Last, but not least was my meeting with that big gruff Russian, Boris Yurinov, the weapons dealer that had been recommended to me by a few other Sicilian Dons. He arrived at the Hunt Club whispering to Gino behind the bar that he was there to meet with me. Eoin drew the task of patting him down, removing two hand guns, which Tammi took back to Gino for safe holding.
Then Eoin brought Boris upstairs where we had a nice conversation. He gave me the key to a bus station locker,saying, "Here is locker in bus station downtown, one on 5th avenue. Locker contains 5 guns, 2 magazines for each, and 1000 rounds .40. Consider them gift, from Me to you.'
These will be Croatian XDs, a weapon comparable to our favorite Glocks at a much better price, $400 each if they pass our tests in a private club shooting range. I promised to provide him with one of our best call girls in return at his leisure.
