Today for Canadians is Rememberence Day, this year being the 90th anniversary of the first Armistice Day that ended the First World War. More than 100,000 Canadians have died in two World Wars, the Korean War, United Nations peacekeeping missions and in Afghanistan. We give thanks and remember those who have served, fought, and died for and in defence of our country to preserve the freedoms and livelihoods we all have today.
They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn;
At the going down of the sun and in the morning;
We will remember them.

Let us remember before god, and commend to his sure keeping: those who have died for their country in war; those whom we knew, and whose memory we treasure; and all who have lived and died in the service of mankind.
Please...on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, give two minutes of silence and remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
RIP grandfather. I miss you.
