Health Update
« on: March 06, 2009, 04:18:12 PM »
I saw my doc this afternoon. there is still serious concern about the amount of dialation in the intestinal tract.. apparently there are 9 sections total that were dialated including my appendix which is still thought a miracle there was no rupture. one section of this dialated area is approximately 17 inches in length... so I get to spend the next 10 days on steriods to reduce swelling..... and a light diet...and hopefully things will improve.. she also had blood pulled for a test on different levels in my blood including a suspected drop in vitamin a  the b's. d,and k as well as potassium....I am starting to feel like a science project.

but thats where it stands.

~shakes my head~ Sis.. this is why they call what doctors do, a practice... because they don't know what they are doing half the time, and the other half, I swear they are guessing... Except, I think I got a primary care doctor who actually might know what he's doing, it's the rest of my list of doctors that have no clue...

well I just went to the mail box.... and found this note from my doc.....the results of your labs are in.....my vitamin b12 is normal....... vitamin d and all the others....... ummmmmmm  can we say root cellar... especailly the d.....the level read at 7..... normal is to be between 20 to 100....and the K and the potassium......in the really low end of normal......I am being sent vitamins to be taken weekly.

and before someone yells drink milk.....I need to state something.... this whole homoginizing process.... makes it taste like milk flavored metal.......and because of the laws... you normally can't find raw milk... which is what I grew up on...  but now I have hope.... there is a brand of milk processed in south central ky that is even put in the old glass jugs... so its going back to being old school.. but at least now we know why my immune system is crap
