Okay.. they have ruled out the intestinal infection.. his bloodwork shows high levels of the enzymes involved in muscle damage... meaning a torn muscle, or maybe hernia.. (like I thought, but I am not a doctor, so I get largely ignored).. but still they had the heart arythmia thingy.. so
they were supposed to have done a thingy today to basically stop his heart and then try to restart it again and maybe get it beating rightly.. there were three possible outcomes to this.. one, that it worked, two, that it didn't work but he resumed life as it is right now, with irregular heartbeat and three, that they killed him because they would not get the heart to restart.
BUT~~~
he had to screw with that plan, and have a sorta kinda maybe it could possibly be a tiny stroke this morning.. they don't know absolutely that it tried to be one because they have had him on heparin for a week messing with the heartbeat thingy.. and heparin is what they use to treat strokes.. so if it was, the heparin acted as a preventative... and he sustained no real damage and got a 4 hour vacation in the ICU and the CAT scanner to check his brain for damage.. and he got out of the kill him/cure him test thing.
His brain is fine, the dustbunnies still have their home in there.. He is irritable and grouchy and even tossed (literally) a doctor across the room when they were doing their "first response all in your grill reactions and testings when they thought he was having a stroke" LMAO~ they even sent security with him to the cat scan as a precaution.. *shakes head*
Now, they think tomorrow, they may do the kickstart test.. or maybe not..
But they are allowing him to eat.. of course, now he isn't hungry.. *rme*.. except only once today, after they decided he wasn't going for kickstart.. and at midnight, he is cut off again until they decide if they are doing or not doing it tomorrow.
Oh, and did I mention that WALMART was pissy with me about calling off for today's shift because I felt I should be at the hospital thinking it was a little more important.. LOL.. I will be getting written up for it.. I was informed. Calling off leaves them shorthanded and makes others have to work harder to cover my job.. I was only scheduled for 4 hours today anyway and let's get real.. they NEVER have enough cashiers, so my being missing is only irritating to the management.. the CUSTOMER, who should be the important person, is ALWAYS irritated because they are short on open checkout lines.
I ask for continued prayers.. and rest assured, I thank you all for your support.. even if I don't answer the phone or post much..
love and hugs to all..
