Entry Thirteen

My 1st Oralu has returned.

The column is moving all through the night and will not stop until commanded  to do so.

It is my intention to make the River of Tears crossing within the next few days.

Entry Fourteen

The wagons continued onward, and by dawn it was drizzling rain, but the temperature was rising.

The rain intensified, accompanied by lightning and thunder by the time the column reached the long upward grade.

The column proceeded, and halfway up, Oralus of Kassar ambushed at the gallop from the top of the grade. Given weather conditions, it is easy to understand how they could have gotten within charging range. The Kassar were engaged, and the column was commanded to keep moving as stopping on the wet grade was next to impossible without sliding and jamming up the entire column.

One wagon was lost right at the onset of the attack, and after the Kassar were driven off, three additional wagons and teams were ensnarled on the slope.

The column is currently stopped at the top of the upgrade in good tall grasses. The damaged wagons are being untangled, and wounded being gathered and tended. The dead are being gathered. The Kassar dead, ALL dead, no captives taken, are being gone over for valuables and weaponry and other assorted gear.

Dead or mounts having to be put down will be fed to the sleen.

(RP was paused here due to time restraints. This is the point rp will begin at 8PM EST tonight. It is after midday, the storm has passed and the sun is shinning with temperatures in the high 70's low 80's.)

Report to be continued.

Entry Fourteen (Continued)

Regrouping, tending the wounded and gathering our dead continued as did salvage operations.

The column was able to move on, leaving some of the Kassar dead behind for them to deal with.

The Healers were kept rather busy, and will likely remain so for a time.

The temperatures continued to rise and we are indeed close to our wintering grounds.

The column will continue moving until reaching the River of Tears. I anticipate our arrival a few ahn before dawn. The column will halt, rest, eat, and begin making ready to cross. Once across, we will hold strategic advantage. (When you enter, we will be halted at the RoT. We will try to begin at 8PM EST in order to make the crossing in good time)

It must be noted, during the night lightning was seen high in the mountain range, so expect the waters of The RoT to be high as it makes its way down the mountain.

See Healer's reports for additional information.

Entry Fifteen

The column has crossed the River of Tears. At times, success, and failure, all depends on one's perspective. The crossing was successful, but costly.

Many wagons were heavily damaged, with loss of life and injuries to people and stock.

It may be days before an accurate accounting is in. People and stock will be returning from downriver for some time.

Several wagons were lost in the river, along with a heavy freighter.

Among the more heavily damaged wagons, were Buddha's... Sidona's... and the main med wagon. I doubt any wagon made it across completely unscathed.

The herd and column is halted on the Northern Bank for the night. Make whatever repairs possible. Tend the stock and the wounded. The Woodworkers Clan is currently assisting with Buddha's wagon.

Bosk cooks upon spits, so take time to get a hot meal.

Grease the wheels and axles, and assist in the med wagon as much as possible.

The 7th Outrider Oralu has been dispatched to the small caravan crossing to hold until recalled. The 3rd Askari Oralu will conduct active patrols up and down the river, and the 2nd and 4th Askari Oralus will hold this crossing until the wagons and herd have moved on.

The bosk will graze in place. It is my hope to move on come the morrow if at all possible, on the last leg of our migration to our wintering lands.

We will soon be home.

Overnight temperatures are mid to high 70's.

Entry Sixteen

Stock and person were returning to the column from downriver up until we moved out again after midday. With luck, more will catch up with us as time goes on.

All wagons managed to get rolling and none had to be abandoned that made it across the river. Now left over team bosk having no owners any longer were used to replace bosk on other teams requiring such.

All the bosk, kaiila, and people in general were still exhausted as we moved out. No land speed records were made, but a steady move did cover ground to my satisfaction. I expect to reach our wintering lands with one final leg of travel.

All the wounded, though some requiring additional treatment, are at least stable.

When a halt was called, all the stock were tended, as well as the wagons. Additional bosk from the crossing her spitted over cookfires. Eat well and get as much rest as possible. We must be set up in our new encampment. Kassa will cross the river today, with the Kataii following the next day according to Scouting reports.

It is imperative we form our encampment and fortify the entire perimeter before they arrive. Once we are set, it will be nearly impossible to drive us from our prime lands.

Be ready to move on the morrow when the command is given.

Entry Seventeen

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!!!!

The final leg of our journey was, for the most part, uneventful. Good time was made and the standard herd bosk are now grazing in grasses of good quality.

The column has moved into single file, and has been adjusted so the wagons will be able to move from surrounding the perimeter, to taking their assigned places within the camp.

The team bosk will graze in place. Eat, rest, for when next we move, we will roll into the actual camp and take our places.

It will be extremely hectic and busy making camp and securing the perimeter, but I am confident that with teamwork it can be accomplished without any real issue.

The ground of our wintering lands was kissed when the wagons were halted, as is traditional marking the end of our long journey. We have survived yet again.

Be ready to move on command, and we will enter our wintering home.

Well done!!!!!

(Note; We are in the wilds, and will move into camp together at the start of our rp.)
