The Commissary and Cold Wagon
« on: December 27, 2006, 10:46:30 AM »
The Commissary Wagon has now been completely prepared for migration.  The pots, pans, and various types of servingware were washed, rinsed, and boiled.  They were then replaced on the shelves, if constructed of wood or metal; or packed away, if made of glass or pottery.  I left the wagon in the following state:

*...Only enough pots and pans remained to handle the cooking of the ever-present vats of bosk and vulo stews. There were barrels of salted fish, slabs of smoked meats, strings of sausages and dried onions, garlic gloves, and peppers of various sorts... Metal and wood now dominated the servingware on the shelves; only the most sturdy cups, bowls, tankards, and the like remained. The Commissary was a much-diminished place when migration preparations had been completed, a sparse and far less comfortable kitchen area, but it would suffice... *

Additionally, the Cold Wagon is now in use.  Watch out for the one missing floorboard which Master Furaan will fix later this week!  The Cold Spring is iced over and must be broken through in order to procure any water which is not to be had from the shallow river that flows to the East side of Camp.

Living in the land of sun, sand, and Thassa breezes, where the only rule is common sense.  What's not to love?
