This Week's Gossip
The deep freezing cold and snow has eased up and the temperatures will be more in the high twenties to 30's with some rain for the next ten days. It doesn't mean winter is over, but at least we're out of that black ice for a while.

Last Sunday morning I awoke early in my own bed with a start, unsure of just where I was until my eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight in my eyes. I got up, closed the plantation shutters and crawled back in bed.

The dream last night was exquisite, me in bed with a beautiful brunette. Was it precipitated by spending Saturday night at Rachel's where I shared Chinese take out with Rachel and Jon Bon Jovi? We did spend the evening joking about a menage a trios and I had actually kissed Rachel as Jon returned with the Chinese food.

Or was it because after faxing in my weekly column, I spent the last few hours reading Central Park, that romance novel released by Mary McGrath. In that novel, the character named Lindsay Smith, obviously crafted by Mary to suit me, enjoyed a night with a dark haired women named Mary Marquette. The seduction of Mary in the story lasted over twenty pages and the techniques employed left me breathless as I dropped off to sleep.

For those that have never read her work, I highly recommend purchasing Central Park, or one of her other delicious novels. Her detailed descriptions of everything, including the sex scenes are marvelous.

I attended Rachel's Seinfeld Pilot play on Wednesday evening and enjoyed it immensely. Kate, Doni, and Rachel played key roles and Alice actually played three characters.

On a sadder note, Rachel told me that she was once again putting her Creative Arts Theatre plays on hold for at least a week, while she waits for a few of her players to return. Some have technical problems and some are just suddenly loaded down with work. Hopefully, this will resolve itself and the theater will reopen in February.

Bridget Martin of CBS Channel 2 news has once again reported a series of rapes in the Upper West Side, all involving Columbia University students. The last one resulted in murder. Lt. Chris Meloni and his partner, Olivia Benson, of the Special Victims Unit are hard at work trying to crack this case.

Saturday night I headed over to Mahoney's Irish Pub with Rachel. We shared a pitcher of their famous Killian's Red Ale and chatted with Bella and Molly. Molly says she might just move into her father's house in Brooklyn since they haven't found a buyer yet. Still no sign of her father's killer.

When I arrived home around eleven, there was Diego watching TV in my living room. He's had a key for years, but it still was a pleasant surprise. He usually calls, just to make sure I didn't have "other" company. Luckily I didn't bring home a guy like Eoin to give me a massage.

Entertainment
This coming Wednesday night Rachel's Creative Arts Theatre will be dark while she solicits more support for the plays.

The following Wednesday night, February 7th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Friends - Frank Jr.. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom.
