I didn't want to add this to the other post cause yeah I want the others to be free of their sleet snow and what not. I just want to know exactly what the people of louisiana did to piss of the Gods, Mother Nature and what not that we just can not get any form of a break here. As the parish president was quoted as saying on local news "mother nature is a bitch". The recovery of the hurricanes is going about as slowly as a parapeligic with turrets trying to recite the pledge. And yesterday two tornado's touched down tearing through several neighborhoods, devestating areas which had finally begun to come back, rebuild, and I can assure you, no one in new orleans had tornado insurance. Thus far only one death had been reported, a 80 some odd yr old woman who was literally thrown from her fema trailer before the trailer ploughed through her slowly being rebuilt home. Several have been severely injured, once again lost everything and are just so damn tired of it the mental health industry is making a killing in this state let Me tell you.
So I just want to know what we did, who's cherrio's we pissed in, who's girlfriend we fucked, who's momma we called a name, who we beat up back in junior high and say.."sorry"...cause this shit has got to stop before the city as a whole, parishes and all just give up and leave.
I managed to make it through last night with only minor damage, some repairs I can manage with a bit of work to the vents on the top and hopefully a replacement cover to the AC unit and a couple of dents to the car from hail and limbs/debris. SO while yer handing out prayers, please, say a few for those still suffering out here, cause no matter what the local government out here is telling the national news to say, no matter what the nifty commercials show, we are dying a slow and painful death out here with nothing to show for it but a bag of mardi gras beads, pointless promises of a future that will never happen and lives that will never be the same again.
