This Week's Gossip
Well, the Golden State Warriors Cinderella season is over. We enjoyed the games on Friday and Sunday, then flew to Salt Lake City for the final game where the Warriors just couldn't defeat the Jazz on the their home court. Diego took me up to Park City, a really beautiful place up in the mountains, since we were in the area. I enjoyed the relaxing trip.

We flew back on Wednesday and I managed to drag Rachel away from Jon Bon Jovi long enough to have lunch together. All she was talking about was her blossoming relationship there, one that has her concerned since Jon is on the road a lot and her career is here in the Big Apple. She still enjoys Mike Miller too, and intends to keep dating them both, a decision I heartily support.

My secret sources tell me there really is something going on between Ana Demetrius and David Dewher. Apparently they spent the night together at her place after the play a couple weeks back. They met at one of the Genovese Enterprises board meetings several months ago where something sparked a mutual interest.

Ana is still single. She's a professional model best known as "the model with the longest legs in the world". She's 6"-1" tall with 48" long legs. She sells and distributes her own clothing and cosmetics lines and is almost too wealthy to count. She hardly has time to model now that she's accepted the council seat out on Long Island. She has a huge mansion in Oyster Bay right next to the ocean.

I enjoyed my visit out there when she invited me out for an interview. I didn't bring a bathing suit but we swam in her pool anyway. She swam naked too, so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable. It was interesting just how calm Lucas was bringing out our drinks as if seeing women naked wasn't a big deal. He did casually look me over, but simply returned my smile.

Saturday night Diego had a dinner date with Angela Black, that Citibank president, so I headed down to Mahoney's Irish Pub hoping for a little entertainment. Jaime Peterson was on stage as usual and Barbara Swan was tending bar. I was pleasantly surprised when Anne Heche popped in, my old and dear friend.

We were just chatting away while sharing pitchers of their famous Killian's Red Ale when a young guy named Billy walked over to order a new pitcher. While waiting for Barb to fetch the ale, he started hitting on Anne. He asked if we'd like to join him and his buddy at the pool table for a game.

Anne winked at me and said, "Sure, why not." We led the way back to the pool table where his friend, Dick, was racking the balls for a game of 8-Ball. Billy suggested we make a wager, but before he could say anything clever, Anne said sure, how about if the winners get to choose their partner for the evening. Of course, the guys were all over that and let Anne break.

What they didn't know was Anne is a hustler and she ran the table. The guys were anxiously waiting to see which one she picked, assuming the other guy might get me. Anne laughed, grabbed my hand and cutely said, "I'm taking Lindsay home with me. She doesn't need Dick tonight."

It was convenient since she always stays in my Plaza hotel. We used my place so I could finish this column and fax it off before we enjoyed the rest of the evening together.

Entertainment
This Tuesday night, May 22nd at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Friends - The Giant Poking Device. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom.
