*opening my diary, pondering today's entry*

Dear Diary,
Last night at 3:00 am I was awakened by the strangest call from Allison Dubois, that NYPD medium. She said she had a terrible dream about a man being murdered by what might have been his wife and her boyfriend. She asked me if we had any open cases like that right now, or any men found dead in their bed under strange circumstances.

I said none that I knew of, but I would check with Joe Friday in homicide in the morning. She seemed pretty upset, but didn't really know the people she saw in her dream. Often she has had premonitions of things to come, so this might not have happened yet.

She seldom has meaningless dreams, so I pay attention when she calls. She did say there were some flashes of the wife in the Four Seasons Supper Club, so she plans to go there and see if anything more pops up.

*opening my diary, pondering today's entry*

Dear Diary,
On Wednesday evening as I lay there in bed with my laptop trying to prepare a closing for a murder case, my cell phone rang. It was Allison Dubois, the NYPD medium.

She said she was in the Four Seasons Supper Club, having just shared drinks with Seamus Clark, the author of  that romance novel Lindsay Davis is raving about, "A New York City Bar". He actually signed my copy and we joked about the heavy sensual content in the book.

It turns out that Allison was in the Four Seasons on Monday night too, because she saw the Four Seasons sign in her dream about a wife possibly planning to murder her husband. Sure enough she recognized a woman at the bar that looked exactly like the woman in her dream, a Barbara Barton, the wife of publisher Bradley Barton.

As Allison sat there sipping soda water, Barbara was downing an Orgasm while flirting with the male bartender. In walked the man she saw in the dream. He turned out to be Carl Cameron, a gentleman that is trying to get his romance novel published by her husband.

She watched quietly as Barbara whispered to this Carl guy, and she could see the severe stress in their conversation. One word she heard a bit louder was "pregnant" as they finished their drinks and hurried away.

Having recognized Seamus Clark, who was sitting at a nearby table, as the face on the back of his romance novel, "A New York City Bar", Allison approached him. That's where she learned their names and the fact that Barbara was the one that talked her husband into publishing Seamus' book.

Seamus informed her that Barbara was now planning to talk her husband into publishing Carl's book. She could tell that Seamus seemed irritated since Barbara was obviously now getting laid by this Cameroin guy.

Simply accidentally touching Seamus' hand sent visions through Allison's head of Seamus fucking Mrs. Barton. It was not only a triangle, there were four people involved including the probably unaware Bradley. What a web we weave when we try to deceive!

Allison asked Seamus if he would sign her copy of the book if she brought it back, so she was there Wednesday night learning as much as she can. Bradley is still alive, but if Barbara is really pregnant, it fits right into her dreams.
