This Week's Gossip
Last Sunday Diego was already up and gone when I woke up. I slipped into my running gear and met Rachel and Mary McGrath for our normal Sunday morning run in Central Park. Rachel said that Kate is still in the hospital struggling with that broken leg.

After our run, we walked over to the Columbia Medical Center to visit with Kate. The pain killers were heavy so I helped keep her awake while Rachel fed her. The doctors say that Kate will need possibly eight weeks in a rehab center before she can put weight on that leg and go home.

Allison Dubois has been showing up at the Four Seasons Supper Club this week, obviously interested in Seamus Clark and his new romance novel. Gino said that Allison actually had Seamus sign her copy of  "A New York City Bar". She's a psychic and can read people quite well. Makes me wonder what else or who else she's watching.

On Saturday a huge crane fell in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Four people were killed when a piece of steel fell and severed  one of the cables supporting the crane. The entire new building collapsed and damaged the two adjoining buildings and vehicles surrounding the accident. There are serious concerns that adequate support wasn't being used and work was being done outside of the permitted working hours. Thank God it wasn't a job being done by Genovese Construction Inc,. Diego's firm.

Mahoney's Irish Pub has been crowded all weekend as they celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I sat in the far corner of the bar and just watched as Molly, Barb and even Declan tended bar while Rafe handled the various tables. I enjoyed all the Irish songs offered by people right out of the crowd. Even Jamie Peterson showed up Saturday night to perform her song and dance routine.

I didn't get home until well after midnight, but since I came home alone after dodging all the guys that were hitting on the ladies, I was just able to get this column faxed in before the deadline .

Entertainment
Due to Kate's nasty fall and a few others experiencing difficulties, Rach will set her plays at rest for a while, but they will return.
