Ok. I have survived the top extractions. Now if only I can get my damned oral surgeon on the same page as me. Right now, they lost my paper work on my wisdom teeth. So I have to go back in for another exam, get them to request to remove the two wisdom teeth again, and then thirty days afterwards, will get them removed, and then it will take another 6-8 weeks for my dentures.
Unfortunately, this also bears some bad news. Though we would love to go to Gathering, it is looking as though that is a no go at this point. Because we have to pay for the anaesthesia ourselves and it isn't covered by insurance we will not be able to save up enough money for Gathering. My teeth are slightly more important than the vacation, even if I would love to go, but I need to get this done. I do not know how much yet the removal of my wisdom teeth is going to cost, I guess I will find out Monday when I go for my new appointment with the oral surgeon. At this point, I hate my oral surgeon, I went in last June to get this taken care of, and it's now almost June again, and they never bothered to call me, I had to cal and pester them, and they said they were still waiting for paperwork. They are liars, but I have no other choice at this point because they won't even attempt to fit the dentures with the two wisdom teeth in. -shrugs-
Anyway, will probably be a few days before I am back, maybe even longer, depending on how my top teeth feel. At this point it has been 2 and a half hours since the dentist was finished, and I am still bleeding rather heavily. Which sucks, because I am gauzed up and drooling blood everywhere. Fun fun. So I am trying to get those stopped without too much pressure because the gauze just pulls out whatever blood has clotted previously. Joy. Anyway, I just wanted to drop a quick note that I am alive, and all of my teeth except the two wisdom teeth are out now.
