The Central Park Rapist Strikes Again!!

The Central Park Rapist strikes again!!
It's now apparent that we have a mad rapist lurking in Central Park. Last night Columbia University student, Amy Bilson, narrowly escaped being his second victim, thanks to the help she received from a gentleman named Jason Maloney.

DNA retrieved from under Miss Bilson's fingernails matched what was found under Darla Concannon's fingernails, the woman he raped and strangled last Friday night. An artist's rendering of the rapist's face was developed with the help of Miss Bilson and Mr. Maloney and it's being posted around Central Park. The NYPD are asking people to avoid Central Park after dark.

Miss Bilson says that she was studying at a park bench at dusk when she was approached by the rapist. He sat down beside her and started chatting. He said his name was Dick, but that might just be a fake name.

He offered to take her to dinner, but she declined and then used her cell phone to call her friend Jason because she was concerned when the rapist started walking her out of the park. They were on the path East toward Central Park East (5th Avenue) when he grabbed her and forced her off the path and into the woods.

By the time our hero, Jason Maloney, arrived the rapist had her pinned to a tree, her skirt raised and her panties torn open. Jason says he used a karate chop to drag him away and they wound up wrestling in the woods. The man was quite powerful and tossed Jason into some heavy underbrush and ran away.

Jason first made sure Amy was okay, then ran off in pursuit only to be stopped by a Central Park NYPD police officer who assumed Jason might be the actual rapist. By the time Amy arrived to clear Jason, the rapist was long gone.

Since both victims were Columbia students, we're advising them to be extremely careful and avoid cutting across Central Park on their way back to their dorms, a route many use as a short cut.

Lt. Chris Meloni of the NYPD Special Victims Unit has been assigned the case and is making every effort to locate this maniac. If you see this rapist, please call 911. Do NOT attempt to approach him because they consider him as potentially armed and dangerous.

In shocking news, a third rape attack has been linked to the infamous Central Park Rapist!

Lt. Chris Meloni confirmed this morning that semen recovered from the body of 30 year old Columbia English professor, Margaret Simmons, matched the semen recovered in the Darla Concannon case. They are currently conducting DNA tests of skin fragments recovered from under Miss Simmons' fingernails.

This rape occurred in Simmons' Central Park West apartment on Wednesday. Police believe that Miss Simmons was assaulted there after the rapist followed her home from her normal noon time walk in Central Park. She obviously let him in, unaware of his intentions. The autopsy confirmed that she was smothered with her own pillow after having sex with this maniac. The body was discovered by a maid,

Breaking news! We were just informed that another body was found today in Central Park. A couple walking their dog in the park had to follow their sniffing Bassett hound into some shrubbery. It turned out to be the body of another Columbia University female student.

The police aren't releasing her name yet since her parents haven't been contacted, but Lt. Chris Meloni said that it appears to be the work of our Central Park Rapist. Garret Macy will complete the autopsy after the parents arrive to confirm her identity. He already says that she was raped and strangled. The CSI people are comparing the semen found with that found in the previous attacks.

Meloni stated that it apparently happened Sunday night around midnight. He once again is encouraging females not to enter Central Park alone, especially after dark.

This morning, N.Y.P.D. Lt. Chris Meloni reported that they believe that they now have the Central Park Rapist in custody. Late Tuesday night they used Olivia Benson, a Special Victims Unit detective, as bait in Central Park. With ten police officers wearing plain clothes and hiding in various locations in the woods, Ms. Benson sat on a park bench alone wearing a very seductive dress.

Sure enough, Richard Sharpe approached her and attempted to drag her off into the woods and rape her. The police arrived in time to save her from nothing more than a few bruises and a broken high heeled shoe and arrest the perpetrator.

District Attorney, Glenn Foy, has assigned Nelle Porter to handle the case. It looks like Richard Sharpe will be using a public defender and with all the evidence piled up against this man, they expect him to plead guilty to all the recent rapes and murders.

He may wind up with a life sentence, but will possibly be first analyzed by a psychiatrist to determine his sanity. This rash of rapes and murders do not look like the actions of a rational human being.

This morning at the courthouse, Richard Sharpe pleaded guilty to the recent rapes and murders of Darla Concannon, Margaret Simmons and Sally Forthwright and the unsuccessful attacks against Amy Bilson and Olivia Benson..

Judge Helen Gamble sentenced him to life in prison, but first sent him to Belleview Hospital where he'll be analyzed by a psychiatrist to determine his sanity. He may be retained there until such time as he's considered capable of life in Attica penitentiary.
