This Week's Gossip
Last Sunday morning Rachel and I wound up sharing a hotel room in the dingy Edison hotel two blocks away from Mahoney's Irish Pub. No, it wasn't because we drank too much and wound up sleeping with a couple strangers, it was because of the huge storm that left 22.8 inches of snow in the streets. Denny tried to call us a taxi but they just laughed, saying it was too late.
We wound up eating breakfast in Mahoney's wearing the same clothing as Saturday night. Denny was there with Molly, and I had scrambled eggs with cheese while Rachel ate blueberry pancakes.
On Monday night I received word that Fanny Janssen, one of the Big Apple Escorts females, was murdered in her Carnegie Hill 4th floor apartment. The police first picked up Levi salesman, Billy Hanks, as a suspect in this murder, but he was released after the autopsy and CSI data indicated she might have been strangled by a second man.
Wednesday night was fun as usual, watching Rachel as the narrator in her Friends play. Lynzy, Dami and Kate played Rachel Green, Monica and Phoebs, while Tray, Eric and Jack played Ross, Chandler and Joey. Fallon wore a sock in her pants to play Eddie, Chandler's new roommate. It was pretty funny with great adlibs. Dami and her boyfriend, Will, finally tied the knot last Sunday night and are now a married couple.
On Friday night it was Stefana Morelli that suffered a nasty knife slash on her face that required emergency surgery by Christian Troy at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Troy has told Stefana's husband, Long Island councilman Joe Morelli, that it should heal leaving very little scars.
Detective Rita Ortiz and Lieutenant Dara Bertolli were called to the scene and will be trying to find out who this face hacker really is. He wears a black suit and a white face mask to hide his, or her, identity.
I was surprised Saturday afternoon when I saw Tom Bradley follow me inside a Starbucks and then offer to buy my hot chocolate if I'd grab the last open table in the shop. I used the few minutes alone to fake receiving a cell phone call, to call Rachel and ask her to call the police. Bradley was on their All Points Bulletin since Billy Hanks had picked him out of their mug books as the man he'd seen loafing at the 4th floor elevator lobby when Billy left.
Chris Meloni led the team that arrived 15 minutes later to arrest Bradley. I understand from Nelle Porter that Bradley bragged about killing Fanny because she reminded him of his prostitute mother.
Saturday night I sat in the Four Seasons with Rachel to enjoy the entertainment. The place was really crowded with Xavier Castellano, Ed Deline, Delinda Deline, Sean McNamara, Nyssa Summers and Richard Stewart all present.

This Wednesday night, February 22nd at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Sex and the City - The Good Fight. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom, unless Rachel once again needs me in the cast.
