Breaking news! We've just received word that the bodies of two Russian immigrants were found floating in the Hudson River early this morning. The police have identified the men as 48 year old Phillip Krabava and 38 year old Lev Loshavko.
The two bodies were tied together, back to back, with a VSS 9mm sniper rifle tucked between them. NYPD Lt. Joseph Friday said that it turns out to be the weapon used in the attempted assassination of Genovese CEO Diego Farina a few weeks ago.
Phillip Krabava did have a green card, but Loshavko appears to be an illegal immigrant. Both men were shot in the back of the head, typical of a gangland murder. A search of Krabava's new office building in The Bronx revealed some electronic equipment that was stolen in a recent high jacking. A search of the victims' residences came up with information related to illegal shipping to Russia of stolen goods. A quantity of cocaine was also found in Loshavko's apartment.
Lt. Friday stated that they have no suspects at present, but an investigation is in progress. Yeah, right, like we don't have a clue who might have rid the world of these two mobsters.
