This Week's Gossip
I woke up alone last Sunday morning, slipped into my skimpy running gear and headed for Central Park. Rachel was there with Amy Bilson warming up when I arrived. Amy was poking fun at me after reading my column that morning. Obviously, she didn't mind the fact that Barry had picked me up in a bar.
Rachel and I met at the Palm Court for brunch as usual. We spent most of our time discussing the Blanche Barrow murder case which Lt. Joseph Friday reopened for Chloe. As I understand it, when the F. B. I. tried to contact Tiki Boyd has flown the coop. Will he show up back in New York City? Who knows? Maybe The Shadow knows!! *giggling*
We saw April Electra again this week and she said she had met with Bobby Campbell for that photo shoot. We can expect to see her in the upcoming issues of Vogue and InStyle magazines.
I enjoyed playing Grace in the Wednesday night play opposite Eric as Will. I think we ahd a good time and finished in under 70 minutes. Lisa and Dan were in the audience.
I met with Rachel, Tammi and Angel in Central Park Saturday around noon and Rachel was bubbling about the shoe shine guy she met late Friday night in front of Carnegie Hill. She let him shine her shoes out of curiosity and she suggested that Tammi interview him for a job at the Spa.
We were still discussing this when who should appear but this Stephen fellow with his shoe shine kit. I let him brush the dirt off my running shoes and clean them up, then took him home with me to dust a few places in my Plaza Hotel suite that I was sure the hotel staff had missed. After he finished up, I sent him off to Carnegie Hill where I'm sure Tammi will sign him up.
Carole King provided the entertainment at the Four Seasons Supper Club on Saturday night. Donivan spent most of the night dancing with Eva and Gino came out from behind the bar to dance with April Electra. Since we were the only ones left at the bar, I took Rachel up to dance. We joked about my past failing efforts to seduce her, but we did agree that we're really best friends. It was interesting to see Gino and April move to a quiet corner booth where I swear they were making out. Sure enough they left together.
Rachel took me home with her since we plan to run together on Sunday morning and her place is much closer to the north end of Central Park. I always keep fresh running gear at her place, just in case. I used her computer to wrap up this weekly column and send it in to the Times.
Entertainment
This Wednesday night, May 17th at 10:00 pm ET, the Off-Broadway Creative Arts Theatre will be offering Rachel Tatellio's version of Friends - Two Bullies. It should be fun and I will be sitting in my center seat in the back row watching to see who might show up and who sits with whom, unless Rachel once again needs me in the cast.
