she dialed his number several times...each time it rang she hung up...god she hoped he didn't have call display where it told you that some psycho called and hung up 15 times before actually leaving a message...after about 15 times she finally had enough courage to talk...though as she heard him on the message she suddenly got very nervous
"hey...it's Maddie...i know you probably don't want to hear from me but i wanted you to find out i was back before you read it in Lindsay's column...you know where to reach me if you want..."...
her voice had been shaky and he'd know she was nervous...but well she'd done it...and now it was time to get back to business
