Tornado in Tuchuk

Last night, a tornado ripped through part of Tuchuk.  Lives and wagons have been lost.  The southwest corner of Tuchuk is no longer there.  The Perfumer's wagon caught fire last night from a lightning bolt.  Wagon hides are ripped, or completely gone.  Broken glass and wood abound, and debris heavily covers the area.

Stock is being taken of the what has been lost and what has or can be recovered.

It was discovered the Ubara was riding on the plains with an Askari escourt prior to the storm's arrival.  Ubar went in search of her, sustaining a good degree of wind burn.  Awhile later the Ubara was found to have holed up in a sleen burrough.  She sustained what looked like wind burn to her face and arms as well, with a four-hort gash above her brow.  There also appeared to be sleen claw marks.  The Askari attending the Ubara have been arrested and wait to face punishment for their lack of responsibility in watching over the Ubara.

Med wagon and the associated freight wagons appear to be in good repair.  Ubar's wagon and other freight wagons also look good.

Do not be outside barefoot at any time.  All Free, Women, Children and slaves shall wear sandals at the very least to keep from impaling their feet on broken glass or wood.

Until further notice, the Carpenter's Clan will have full reign of the Camp's thralls until all repairs that can be done by them have been tended.  Too, the Carpenter's clan will not be tending any other orders at this time but to repair and rebuild what they can.

For the next two days, Tuchuk shall tend their personal wagons and families.  Condolences have been sent to the families that have lost loved ones in the storm.

Tuchuk is down right now-- but never out.  We will rise again.

Work has begun to right Tuchuk.

Outriders continue their patrols.  The only change is that the patrol routes have been made longer to compensate for those lost to or injured by the storm until such a time that those recovering can return to duty or new Outriders can be assigned duties.  I have already begun working through the First Sons of the families to see who can take place in the Warrior ranks.

The Men that had been part of the Ubara's guard have been arrested and reside in cages, their status stripped.  They await the judgement of the Ubar now.  Commander Adiron's body was recovered this morning, the storm having impaled him atop the Tuchuk Standard by Ubar's wagon.

The bosk have begun drifting back into Tuchuk lands.  There are still five hundred head unaccounted for.  Outriders and those Men of clans such as Vintners and Sleen Trainers have been order to help round up the missing bosk.

Teams of bosk have been harnessed and are being used to clear the larger chunks of wagon and metal unable to be moved by Man or thrall.

The Carpenters are sifting through the wagon remains, taking what can be re-used to repair damaged wagons or possibly build new.

The Iron Workers clan is doing the same with metal that was strewn across the Camp, such as the gates or bars from the slave and thrall wagons.  These will be melted down and re-made.

Animals that have been found dead are being skinned and processed quickly to avoid decay.  A work station has been temporarily set up outside the Camp to process any dead bosk.  The sleen cages have been weakened by the storm:  the scent of blood is not needed within the Camp to rile their hunger more and have the cages potentially break because of it.  Buckets of water have been brought in from the river to wash down any spots where Tuchuk blood had been spilled by the storm.

Funeral pyres have been built just beyond the outer circle by those families who have lost loved ones.  Another pyre has been built for the remains that were unidentifiable.  Tonight, Tuchuk will lay to rest their fallen.

Let us be spared another event such as this.
