Holiday Season Movies
« on: December 15, 2008, 12:44:38 PM »
I sooo wanna see some of these movies coming out this year!  Here are a few that top my list.

The Spirit - I just loved Sin City so much, that I love the style that they are making these new comic book movies into.  With it being black and white, with a splash of red every so often.

Marley and Me - It's a doggie movie and Marley looks so cute!

The Tale of Despereaux - Kids movie, but they are mice and Mathew Broderick does the voice of Despereaux, it looks so cute!

Delgo - Fairies, need  I say more?

The Day The Earth Stood Still - Keanu...  "We know... too much".  Ok, I really don't like Keanu as an actor, but the premise of the movie looks interesting enough to keep me occupied for 2 hours or so.

the Spirit looks cool.. its definately on the gotta see it list..  and love Sam Jackson, and he gets to be angry... again -lol-

Marley and Me is on the list too.. listened to the book.. sad ending.. be prepared.

The Day the Earth Stood Still was pretty good.. at last they found a movie Keanu of the one expression could do and having only one expression was a plus -lol-  and the previews run around here with this movie featured da da da... Xmen Origins WOLVERINE!!! yea AND  the coming Terminator movie.. yea!

Another one Im looking forward to is Seven Pounds with Will Smith.. gotta love big willie..

and dont forget all the great movies coming out on DVD..
Dec 19: Traitor
Dec 21: Death Race (woot!!), Burn after Reading
Dec 27: Eagle Eye

the past few weeks have been eventful as well with The Dark Night, Wanted, Hellboy II, and Tropic Thunder to name a few.. all and all a great movie month :)

oh.. um.. sorry... movies.. I get to get a lil carried away.. -blush-

In the end we're all just chalk lines on the the concrete.  Drawn only to be washed away. For the time I've been given, I am what I am

The Spirit is Will Eisner's comic book series... I fell in love with this man with his mind and image of what a comic book should be... For those who know about the San Diego Comic Con, he is the namesake of "The Will Eisner Awards", which is the "Oscar" of the comic book industry... and since his death, I have been bouncing in anticipation about this movie, wondering if they were going to be able to finish it without him being there to oversee it all being made... My wish came true... ~bounces~ Now to get the money to go and see it, as this is the one movie of the year I have to see in the theater...

Far be it for me to go against the grain, but...

Valkyrie - Normally not a Cruise fan, but I AM a war movie fan. Looks good.
Gran Torino - I am also a Clint Eastwood fan in all his aspects.
Bedtime Stories - Adam Sandler, need I say more ?
Yes Man - I can only think of one Carrey script that I didn't like so far.
Defiance - Yeah, it comes out in early January, but it's a Daniel Craig non-Bond film, which I'm looking forward to.

Now...to make up my mind of which December 25th releases to see first...

here is what bothers me about Valkyrie.... all the Germans, dont sound German... they sound like americans and british people.. what your Tom Cruise so you dont really have to try and act anymore?  at least with Defiance, Daniel Craig and the rest of them sound like they should be there..   Grand Torino did look interesting..but MAN did Clint not age well..
