There always seems to be rumors going around. Sometimes they are started for nefarious purposes and sometimes they simply grow out of innocent comments.
Due to the resignation of Sir Kyle, several rumors have been floating around. I want to give some official information.
current staff
I am webmaster. ameeshia is assistant webmaster. TT is staff coordinator for Dark World by Night. Miss aimee is staff coordinator for BDSM. Ragnar is staff coordinator for Gorean Role Play. In general, TT, Miss aimee, and Ragnar have virtually complete responsibility and authority for their sections. Any normal section questions or issues should be brought to them. ameeshia and I have an open door policy, however, in virtually all cases we will refer you back to the staff coordinators, so do not waste your time trying to go around them.
recent staff coordinator changes
Sir Kyle was the staff coordinator for Medieval and Realms, and Pollypocket and Rachel were the staff coordinators for City Life. Rachel passed on and Sir Kyle and Pollypocket both resigned.
staff coordinator replacements
I decided not to replace any of the staff coordinators for Medieval, Realms or City Life at this time. There are no secret negotiations going on. There are no candidates. There have been a few inquiries and I have told each of them the same thing, I do not intend to replace the former staff coordinators at this time.
room closures
There are no plans to close any of the rooms in those sections at this time. Specifically responding to some rumors, there are no plans to close Coffee Shop, New York City, Creative Arts Theatre, Castle MacLaaran ,Mistledale, or Getaway.
room leaders
Some rooms remain leaderless. Though some members (or even non members) have stepped up to try and revitalize those rooms, that does not mean they have been designated as official room leaders for that room, though they may have become de facto leaders for the time being. I will sit down with staff and try to work out a list of official room leaders for the rooms which have leaders, so there is no question.
Castle MacLaaran
Several people have approached me about becoming room leader for Castle MacLaaran. I have done nothing on this issue because I think it is something the active members of the room need to figure out for themselves. The active members should figure out whether they want a room leader or not, if if so, who that leader should be. As of today, there are only four members associated with Castle MacLaaran. ameeshia (and myself to a lesser degree) will likely have conversations with Castle MacLaaran members to get an idea of their thoughts. Note that the absence of a room leader does not mean the room is slated to be closed. As stated above, there are no plans to close Castle MacLaaran.
