It is all about the Dukies now. 3 point favorite over West Virginia, and a 7-5 favorite to win it all, according to oddsmaker Kenny White.
According to the local paper here, (The Fort Myers News-Press) Duke or W.Virginia (2-1 favorite) would likely be favored over Butler (5-2) or Michigan State (17-5) in the National Championship.
Butler is definitely the Cinderella (or as Dickie V is fond of saying about a player, a diaper dandy)

Well, we are now down to Butler vs. Duke for the National Championship.
As I said, I am picking Duke to win it all but it is going to be a close game, especially considering as how I had not had Butler making it this far and losing in the first round.

goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BUTLER!!!
As I normally do not get into basketball, due to circumstances that it was constantly shoved down my throat in jr high and high school, as I was nearly 6' tall during those years, but volleyball was my true calling... I also would love to see Butler win their first National Championship in the school's history this year.. So.. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUTLER!!!!

AWESOME!!! Make sure you have your survival kit, hun.. Pom-poms, air horn, cough drops (to keep your voice from getting scratchy and strong), banners, signs, etc.!
Am going to be switching from one show to another during the game, as it goes up against some of my Monday night shows.. One of the few times anyone will find me watching basketball, that I wasn't forced to watch, due to being in pep band and at a game.. ~gags slightly~

The paper says that Duke is facing a younger version of itself tonight in Butler, and that the similarities are almost the same it is eerie.
Today is going to be very interesting especially considering it is baseball's opening Day. (I know it started last night with the Red Sox defeating the Yanks, but look at the full slate today) This is a sport fan's dream come true!

It was a helluva game. I have to hand it to Butler for keeping it close.In fact, I think they could be due for a National Championship in the not too distant future especially with that young coach they have. but I gotta say

Ok....I'm dead tired....voice is just about gone...and even though the Bulldogs (*sad puppy dog look*) didn't win...congrats to Duke and their fans. I am glad I got to go to the game! It was one hell of a game...the best b-ball game I have ever seen!!!! It is one championship game that people will talk about for a long time and go down in the history books. And even though Butler didn't win the championship...they are not losers! They had an amazing season and a fantastic race to the finish and should be proud of their accomplishments while holding their heads up high!

oh as bad as I hate to say it......Duke won. they played a wonderful game and as much as I would have liked to see Butler win it, Duke fought and deserved it. congrats to them!
