Another update:

flame has been on her back or side since 9:00 last night - That's 21 Hours!!!

Improvement is slow, but it is happening!

Update again:

When we went to visit her today, she was on her back, though they were turning her to her sides and stomach periodically to prevent bedsores.

They stopped the paralytic drugs this morning about 9 am to begin bringing her out of the induced coma.  She is still relying pretty heavily on the ventilator and she is heavily sedated, but at least we are seeing improvement now!

Christmas Day Update:

flame is back on the paralytic drugs that put her into the induced coma.  Her breathing was not in sync with the ventilator.  They had to turn the setting of the ventilator up a little.  They are doing everything they can to keep from turning her back on her stomach.

Update on flame:

When we went to see her this evening, I touched her arm and she opened her eyes.  She is still on the ventilator but answered yes and no questions.  The nurse said she gave the day nurse hell all day, fighting the restraints and the ventilator.  This evening she mouthed to let her go (from the restraints).  When he nurse told her she couldn't because they were afraid she would try to pull out the respirator, she told the nurse she didn't give a f$%(%&$.  LOL..That's my girl!!!
