The column proceeded as expected making good time covering very good ground through the day. Thus far there is no indication of Kassar following closely.

The column was forced to halt about an ahn sooner than intended for the night when the old Kassar med wagon sheered a wheel causing catastrophic failure. There were addition injuries and two known fatalities as a result.

The wounded were transfered to the main med wagon and salvage operations began and ran throughout the night attempting to recover what medical supplies could be, as well as materials still of use.

All standing general orders are still in effect. We move out again in the morn.

We are almost home.

End report.

The herd and column made very good progress and have halted in the area of the springs. The stock can water, the barrels can be topped off and botas filled. The grass is outstanding in the area for grazing stock.

Bathing is not only permitted, but encouraged as some of you really smell bad since your last bath in Turia. Soap is prohibited in the springs. Though all our soap is natural, and non-toxic, high levels of it concentrated in the springs could lead to issues with the stock as well as us during consumption. Considering the number of bosk and other stock, and our numbers, it would definitely NOT be a good thing for all to come down with a case of the chocolate gallops. Barrel bathe if more than just rinsing the stink off, or use the tubs some may have. Bear in mind modesty must prevail for FW. Clean your clothing at the same time, or bathe behind a screen.

The Kassar are not to our rear, so The 1st returned to the column during the night leaving the standard rear guard in place. Many of The 1st will be found sleeping. It is recommended not to awaken them unless necessary until it is time to eat and/or move. Most have been without real sleep for many days. We ARE within territory claimed as our own and are nearing our summer encampment area. Cook fires and lights after dark are now permitted provided they remain small.

Game is plentiful, so if time permits any free may harvest game so long as they remain within sight of the column. The game would be a welcomed addition to our migration standards. Bear in mind, where game and water is plentiful, sleen will be also.

Wild plains kailla have been spotted in the area. Those in need of a mount may try their luck so long as they too remain within sight of the column. REMAIN ARMED.

We move again when light. Tend the stock, check all harnesses and rigging, and be sure to grease the axles. We have come too far now to lose a wagon due to oversight or negligence.

Also see Healers Log for casualty updates.

After a respite at the springs, the column once again proceeded for our summer encampment area. Spirits are still high though I know of none that is not grateful to be close to ending the grueling march from the Cartius Region where we wintered.

The column continued on throughout the day until just before dusk, once again halting within a dozen pasang of what we will call home.

The herd has already begun grazing, breaking into its four smaller sub-herds. The Ta Sardar herd continuing on towards its area North of where we will make camp, the Klim herd continuing on East of where we will be located, the Vasic herd South, and the Klim herd is in place and enjoying good grass already.

The column will move out again after light and begin the approach to the intended site, where it will break from migration column into the longer, narrower columns in order to begin taking up positions for summering starting from the main camp and working its way outwards until all have been placed.

Tend your teams and personal stock, tend to your wagons. Eat, rest, for we have one hard final push remaining.

End report

The column proceeded as expected and covered ground with fine speed arriving at our summering encampment well before dusk.

The camp is forming from the inside out, and all wagons should be in place on their assigned lots by midday provided they continue at the current rate through the night. The main camp is in place, and after a nights rest the details of setting up will be attended to. Troughs, sleen cages, pens, torches, etc will be seen to.
