Actually this doesn't refer to chat rooms like Webmaze, but more specifically to the throngs of pornographic sites, especially those that exploit children.
Not much the government can do to shut down websites, being that the internet is global and not solely within the boundaries of the US. What our legislators consider pornographic other countries may not see it the same.
It's a very difficult concept and enterprise to try to stamp out pornography in the entire world. Perfectly impossible.
Besides. What would our legislators do without porn? They would have to be the first to give up their prostitutes and other ........ proclivities.
Our legislators are bored. They'll get over it as soon as Bush makes another big blunder they have to cover up.
