i don't know if this will help, but i'm going to share it with you anyways. When you know the origin of a word, it sometimes helps to cheapen it when it is used as an insult.
The origin of the word "whore" is thus:
"[Old English hôre . Ultimately from an Indo-European base meaning “to desire” that is also the ancestor of English cherish, caress, and Kama Sutra.]"
The temple priestesses of the past, who gave their bodies in order to bring men (and women) into the divine presence were called Sacred Whores. Unfortunately, people still use this term in a derogatory fashion. Let not the ignorance of others bring you down.
